Re: Internet time-wasters.
I can't spend time on TV Tropes anymore. The constancy of forced examples for every trope gives me a headache. I've wasted a few hours watching This Troper videos, though.

I have the same sentiment about it.Bustertheclown wrote:I can't spend time on TV Tropes anymore. The constancy of forced examples for every trope gives me a headache.

That's because Ted is never a waste of time. It is purposeful and enlightening. Most internet, you can consume with a beer. With Ted, you need a fine wine and a fez cap.

Ted is awesome. And makes me think of the robot man that wants to marry Joyce in Buffy.VeryCuddlyCornpone wrote:That's because Ted is never a waste of time. It is purposeful and enlightening. Most internet, you can consume with a beer. With Ted, you need a fine wine and a fez cap.

Only if that Fine wine was not made by third-world workers, cause then you will feel bad... VERY VERY Bad.VeryCuddlyCornpone wrote:That's because Ted is never a waste of time. I usually don't have that much free time to waste. If I'm not here I'm on Facebook. Maybe go to FA to clean out garbage and keep tabs on my comic or to NHL.com to keep tabs on how my Pens are doing.

What, are you buying wine produced in Indonesia or something?Phact0rri wrote:Only if that Fine wine was not made by third-world workers, cause then you will feel bad... VERY VERY Bad.

Well as a rule of thumb, everything that is cheapest of it's kind is probably made in sweatshops, so that goes for wine too.
All my wine comes from local, which means they're probably underpaid as well, but at least they're not immigrants.

We have a variety of fine local wines. They also come in cartons and plastic bags. Ironically, they are made using traditional production methods. No cheap labor involved, only cheap ingredients.

Re: Internet time-wasters.
Macedonian wines are famously good. But we have some satisfying too. Sadly dry wines are favoured here almost exclusively, so I go for foreign whenever I can, but addmitedly they're pricey for my pocket and can't be found everywhere.
I only drink really cheap wines when I'm cooking them, sugar and spices mask all their vinegar-like qualities, cooked wine is a perfect drink for winter nights.

I go to Memebase. I like my memes filtered, and I appreciate the generally SFW quality of the site.
I also go to Penny Arcade's forums more and more.
I need to watch more TED talks.
And occasionally the CG IRC room in the vain hope someone else will be there...I have not given up hope.

Come to the chat....you know you want to.
We should set aside a "chat day" in the future and have everyone come hang out in the IRC for a little bit.
