The rare times I was noticed to draw people, I never was seen as a creepy person. However, there was a few who asked me to give them the sketch afterward.
Must have been the trench coat and bushy moustache that done me in.

Drawing is a great way to allow you to act like a creep without being perceived as one. Unless you're maybe drawing the girl at the neighbouring table naked.

Hey! If some lady decides to sit at the table next to me without her clothes then in my book she's asking to be drawn.

Wait wait I just want to clarify something...

...am I supposed to be naked while I draw her?

Woo! Yeah! The source of most of my daily humour.

Shame it doesn't come across well in comic form.

No matter what we say, I don't think you would last to long sitting at a mall leering over at a lady with a sketchbook, if you were naked.

If she were hot, it'd be very rude not to.

You would have to be very hot too, otherwise why would you be naked?

so visually we've sense removed from a random public place like a mall, to a beach... cause it gets hot there. Or like a park or something. Okay I'm back on page now.

I'm still in a restaurant, maybe one of those restaurants that opens out onto a beach. That makes the most sense.
[edit] I may have to draw this [/edit]

Or she's just a lot older than we'd all asume and she's having a hot flush.

Not as much the things I say, as the things I do. I unconsciously mimic the face expressions I draw.

I have a rather lengthy quote list from things said at artists' conventions, though...

Excerpts that were translateable
  • "That's how I like my men! Tied up, helpless and with chocolate"
  • "I want big boobs!"
  • "I feel that I didn't get enough duct tape"
  • "-Your robots are pretty good, actually.
-That's because I know how they work.
-So THAT'S why you suck at drawing women!"
  • "I would feel sorry for Hartmann (main character) if it weren't so damn funny to see him suffer"
  • "nothing is uglier than inconsistency in comic books, and star-nosed moles"
  • "BUY MY ALBUM, SO I CAN AFFORD NEW FINELINERS!"
  • "And it just hurts every time you get a dick in your face"
  • "Oh, the nipple is teasing me!"
  • "It must be really hard to walk on clouds in those stilettos"
  • "I was pretty good at doing sheep back when I was unemployed"

Me too. More for sad faces than for smiles. I hate when I've drawn a "sad page" where there's lots of sad expressions, because I know I'm going to exhaust my own facial muscles in the process of bringing it to life

I do that when I'm writing as well as drawing, which also makes for interesting encounters I assure you

I'm kinda like that, too, only it's with hands. Hands can almost as expressive as faces, and almost as hard. So if I'm stuck on a pose I'll look at my own hand. If people saw me trying to figure out a certain hand pose they'd probably think I was shroomin' or something...
