I am happy today because I can pretty much review most (4 out of 5) my test notes without them in front of me. Yay.

Not only did I get my Praxis scores EARLY, but I only missed 16 questions! I got a 184 and only needed a 155. At least now I have a standardized stat to prove I know what I'm going to teach! Now all I need to do to student teach in the spring is pass all my classes!

Congrats Mv!! That's wonderful news!!

Today I reread the regulations on shipping container repairs, and the container that was about to cause me TONS of headaches (namely getting it shipped to Kuwait for repairs while I started paperwork that would have to go all the way through 2 different generals in order to get approval to get us a replacement container) can be fixed in house and be fully repaired by the end of tomorrow.

Also, KBR has just recently begun repairing my office and it only took two months, a stack of paperwork, a Chaplain, a Brigade level staff officer, and several visits by KBR to convince Garrison to approve the repairs. This success has helped buoy me in the face of the rampant stupidity I still see by others on a daily basis.

Having the whole long weekend off, and having next weekend off too. That makes me happy.
I only have four shifts next week, but that's still forty hours, I think I'll be okay. Also I think "stat day" means I still get paid? Which is awesome. Apparently home office doesn't hate me - my boss had originally scheduled me for a mandatory seminar, and a closing shift at our store... but home office gave me a stat day instead and made someone else close. Awesome.

This is probably payback to the others because the last seminar we had, I was the only one to show up.

Hooray for weekends!

im staying pretty busy, and that makes me happy. My audition for getting some extras work went well. And I got a call yesterday to do some vegan writing for a site called Ranker. Oh and yet another interview on monday.

I got a cartoon published in the newspaper on Saturday. I sent it through the Letters to the Editor section of the paper's website and didn't even dream they'd go for it. First time I've been print-published.

It wasn't a paying gig, but it was still cool. And now I know I can probably do it again.
