Personally, I think he (Lt. Nakadai) needs a Haircut, and some time in regular service, then, the Chicks'd be all over 'im, and he wouldn't be gettin his (censored) shot off.
and another thing: The Major is a Flyboy, I'm a qualified pilot and Astrogator, but the Major's a Flyboy, that means he doesn't REALLY know how to do much else, and he'd be completely lost in a Non-Flyboy situation, training or not. (though I checked out that Pinup of his mechanic... whhooo! if I weren't already saddled looking after The BRAT, I'd be after her in a heartbeat, now that I've found these Timespace Coordinates.)
Oh, and Gn-n-n-nat, you maybe are a "Racker" (whatever that means) but, you're also a pipsqueak, and, a Loudmouth. Get into shape, get some discipline, and, maybe the Chicks'll dig you, instead o pitying you.
I suggest Enlistment, the Basic Training will burn that gut right off, and provide you with both a chest, and, a spine with which to hold it up, as well as some pride in your appearance, dignity in your manner, and a snappy, squared-away Uniform that women on many worlds find irresistable. Plus, you get to kill things.

Or maybe it has less to do with your age and more to do with your smart-ass mouth! Which I see you're still havin' a little trouble controlling. Maybe it'd help to send you over to the sick bay latrine and have you lick the *censored* clean. Maybe that'd clean the disrespect off your tongue, and replace it with a better grade of crap. You shouldn't have to be reminded, especially if you got as much experience as you claim to have.Not that I don't understand having a hot temper and a quick mouth. I do.
