That's the exact reason why we're trying to find me a evening/night position so we can flip-flop childcare. Up to $300 a week to week to watch a baby around here. Seriously, it' isn't that hard.Netpoet wrote:I love my kids, I really do. My son is awesome, my daughter's the belle of my eye... but damn, they're EXPENSIVE.
I sat down last night and did the math. I'm currently paying more for daycare than I am for my FRIGGIN MORTGAGE. Though at least this tells me that, after Madison turns 4 and starts into school, I can start paying double on my mortgage.
Sheesh.

Some guy cut me off on the way to class this morning. I made a hard brake and my 52 oz lemonade capsized, all hands lost.

These days are just crazy. So freakin' much to do in preparation for the move to Ireland, and so little time to do it!
I'm so stressed I hardly sleep and I'm so tired because of the lack of sleep and I just want this to be over with and be in Dublin NOW grrr!

Someone backed up into my parked car poking in a corner of the bumper. Then they drove away :3 .

Back to Iraq I go. 5 months done, 7 to go. And a stack of paperwork awaits my return.

Went to Prague, had a blast, apparently passed inspection by my girlfriend's best friend. Watched Firefly when I got back. Apart from charred popcorn, life is good =)

I just made the ultimate sneaky cake - since I made it from scratch, there is no boxy evidence! muah ha ha!
also it smelled like a big sugar cookie and is kind of dry like one. Although tasty. I blame all shortcomings on the altitude.

I met Tynan today.
Ok, actually, I got off the subway when he got on like a couple cars down. I flipped him off, but he didn't see.
So Tavis
A big hearty middle finger to you.
I also had my first facepalm in a long while today. This guy was chatting up a girl outside while I was having a smoke just now. He was all OH YEAH I WENT TO ITALY AND PORTUGAL AND PICKED UP SOME OF THE LANGUAGE.
And she was all
"Portuguese is so weird. It's like... a different language"

Finally went back to the theater to finish off The Hangover. I was almost crying with laughter when the credits rolled.
Also, considering the Jonas Brothers were almost single-handedly responsible for why we didn't finish the movie last time, when they were mentioned in the movie, our little corner burst out into riotous laughter.

Have today off, figure I might as well wander over to High Park at two and see what's up - apparently people from deviantart are doing some sort of world tour and are stopping in Toronto for a bit.
Pack some markers, grab some food, hang out with random internet people I've never met or even talked to before... hey, why not.
