Just jumping in here with a fun fact: I absolutely love browsing http://www.etymonline.com/ - finding the origin behind words I think gives me a special power that for all historically accurate purposes is identical to magic. Did you know that the words "be" and "are" originates from ancient words meaning "breathe" and "grow", meaning that way back when the closest definition we could muster of the abstract concept of "living" was to breathe and grow? That the similarity between the words "word" and "world" are not incidental, or that beyond indifferent grunts the first word with a specific meaning ever uttered was probably some variant of "no"?
I believe that an accurate map of our entire psyche, explaining why and how we think and feel the ways we do, is written in the histories of our languages.

When I was like... 4 or something, a dog jumped up on the counter. To put my face in it's mouth.
I grew up to love dogs.
