Comic taken over by mathewfish.com? [Solved]

Post by Imatron »

I woke up to a phone call this morning saying something was wrong with my site, bluebookofdoom.comicgenesis.com instantly takes me to mathewfish.com which is apparently stuck with that all black screen broken code thing.

When I checked the "view source" setting, it appeared to be one giant page tracker or advertisement program. I checked my site via the ftp and everthing seems to be there except my comics in the public and workspac ce sections are not in there, they are just gone.

Is this mathewfish.com place some sort of default thing, or is there some kind of malicious software inteterfereing with my site?

Edit by Dr Neo Lao: The re-direct problem has been sorted by STrRedWolf, sites should no longer be re-directing.

Hi, I have absolutely no idea what is going on with this. I created an account to put up a completed comic that I created, then I started recieving hundreds of emails with peoples password change request forms with their user name and actual passwords and activation codes, have emailed a few of the contact us emails on the main page only to have them all returned after a few days because of 'server' issues? I've been deleting all the info that I recieve, it just has gotten rather annoying. Sorry about the problems with redirecting to my page I have no idea why that is happening, or why I am getting support emails.

Forgive me if I laugh hysterically but....

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!

For WEEKS no one could get their password activation e-mails. They simply weren't arriving! To find out that they had all been sent to you for some indeterminable reason is simply hilarious.

The only explanation is that you are the God of Comic Genesis and the website wishes to prove this by sending all it's e-mails and websites to you. You should be HONORED. :D

or matthew fish is surrounded by some spatial and/or temporal anomaly

i notice that he joined sometime in early december, isnt that around the time when the password problem started?

interesting

It has been my experience that, if there is some kind of odd problem, I'm usually unwittingly the cause of it somehow.

mwhahahahahahahahahaha....

I'd stumbled upon this problem like 2 days after my comic went live... I'd attached to the rss on amelia's amulet and the cronicals of Gathion knowing that we wouldn't be able to update till the password issue got fixed but thought it wouldn't hurt to have it ready... and then like I said about 2 days later my comic informed me that amelia's amulet had been updated... and I was like What The? and when I checked what the update was I was pointed to Rolling Glen. When I posted on here about it, nothing was thought of it but yet it kept happening and I kept up reporting it...

Matthew, just a quick question, how long did it take between when you signed up and got your welcome email?
Web Admin for: http://ameliasamulet.comicgenesis.com/ (Yup it's plain and borring because my fiancée hasn't decided how she wants it to look yet...)

I believe it took like about a month or so, if I remember correctly.

Wow, I do believe that this is the first time that this has ever happened.

I'll jump on STrRedWolf's back and hopefully get this sorted out.

Sorry everyone about the inconvenience... :(

I won't lock this thread (yet), but in order to keep everything in one place, please use the other thread for discussing the Matthew Fish redirection problem.
