@ fallingleaves: your comic is up and running: http://fallingleaves.comicgenesis.com/ However, two problems. First, you will need to sign in to get an FTP password (instructions here) but the password thingy isn't working at the moment. Hopefully it'll be fixed soon. Refer to this thread for more information. Second, you will need to change your forum username. Since you have a lower case letter in your first name, you won't be able to log into SiteAdmin.

@ Ickole: Your comic is up as well: http://blindsight.comicgenesis.com/ you're in the same boat as all the other new people. You'll need to wait until the password generating thingy is fixed to get your FTP password.

@ Nolan: You're also up: http://thatmightkillyou.comicgenesis.com/ so you are also waiting on the FTP password thingy to be fixed.

@ kenderbender and hugomaximo - you will both need to re-register on the forums (this will not affect your comic account) as you both have lower case first letters. This will stop you from being able to sign in to SiteAdmin.

okay well i can now log in i had to change my account to Seethingdarkness3 from seethingdarkness333... the only problem i have now is that my comic is registered under the first name i had... how would i go about fixing that? Is there a thread on that i didn't notice... thanks for the help so far

Oh btw i def have the prob of not getting the ftp password... i was going to try and use that to switch over in the siteadmin but i needs the password to do it... fun stuff

All right, I'm having the same problem as everyone else here. I signed up a few weeks ago, got a verification last week, and haven't been able to log on. Tried to use the 'change password' feature, it said okay and that it would send me an email. Nothing. Registered here on the forums next, but that hasn't helped me to log on to siteadmin either.

@ both cpam and Seethingdarkness3: currently the password code is not sending out FTP passwords to new users (actually, to anybody). Efforts are being made to fix this. Once you have an FTP password for your comic, you'll be able to add it to your forum account in SiteAdmin and access your files directly via an FTP program.

In the meantime, there is not much you can do on your end.

All right, I've been trying for fifteen minutes to reregister, but the program won't let me unless I change my email address. All attempts so far keep getting me the response that my email address is already in use. Am I missing a step somewhere? Do I need to somehow UNregister first!?

Sorry cpam, I've given the long answer out so many times that I've forgotten who I've said what to.

Yes, if you want to re-register on the forum, then you will need a seperate email address. I think that there is a way to delete your existing account, but I'm not sure how to do that. I don't think users can, it'd need to be done by an admin. If you are going to get an admin to do something, then it would be easier to get them to change your username instead.

Edit: Hang on, I just realised that under User Control Panel > Profile > Edit Account Settings you can change the email address. Set up a temporary hotmail account, change your current email on cpam to the new hotmail account (it needs to be a working email because you need to verify the change). Once that is done, you should be able to register a new account with the email you are using now ... hopefully.

Let us know if it works and I'll add it to the CGWiki.

Received welcome e-mail with link to password generator January 30th

I've gone in and made a new forum account to get rid of the lowercase letter at the beginning of my name. Is there any news or estimate of how long this is going to take to fix?

Account was verified on 2/10.
Email was received that account was ready on 2/18, but no password was provided. Link to password generator was provided, but the username wasn't recognized when I went to that link.

If you have received both emails (the first verification email and then a welcome email around seven or so days later) and you can see your comic when you type its url into a browser and can get into SiteAdmin then you have gotten as far as you can at the moment.

If you can't do one of those things then let us know and we'll get you up to speed so that when the FTP password thingy gets fixed you'll be ready to go.

February 11th was the date i was verified, i changes my password according to the directions in the email but i haven't gotten my password email.

by the way, do i have to get my name changes so its a capital R? like what the CG wiki for new users said?
