Compare this to, "I have spent my life trying to find a cure for these people, oh wait here's how I get powers, let's inject myself and negate the last 20 years of my research and all my father's work that I've anguished over."
he was never trying to find a cure so much as wanting to research things, but yeah i'll accept it as a bit of a leap, but not one that's unexpected when you're surrounded by superfreaks and you're just a freak.
Rkolter wrote:And, "I kill people whenever I cry oh god I can't keep this power hey you got your powers from me and aern't going to cure me or anything I know let's FUCK!"
yeah.. i don't even know.

... yeah. And that's just this season. The writers are fine with altering a character's entire path on the basis of one change. So why not a change in Noah after Noah is partnered in his old corporation with Sylar and Sylar saves his ass?
I maintain I am pleasantly surprised they gave Noah the strength of character not to change.
the more i watch this show the more i wonder WHY i'm watching it. Also it doesn't help that Amanda keeps asking me why i'm watching it.

It's a pretty good show all in all - it has the same problems that comic books have, which really isn't too surprising. I watch it because I enjoy it. I'd love to have superpowers. Even if it would involve bending a few laws of physics and making some scientists spin in their graves.
Crossfire: "Thank you! That explains it very nicely, and in a language that someone other than a physicist can understand..."

i'm pretty much just watching for comedic value at this point.

There are ways to kill Claire. Some of them would be permenant unless the writers significantly changed her as a result. Here's just twenty off the top of my head...
1) Put her in a shatterproof glass tube and suck the air out. She'll stay freeze-dried until you want to reconstitute her.
2) Incinerate her in a blast furnace where the blast blows ashes away before she can regenerate.
3) Feed her through a meat grinder and seperate the parts before she can reform.
4) Liquify her with acid.
5) Superglue her nose and mouth shut.
6) drop her into a deep pit and fill it with rocks.
7) Toss her into space. She could burn up in re-entry, burn away from exposure, or stay freeze-dried again.
8) Chop her up and feed her to different animals.
9) toss her into a vat of molten aluminum and let it solidify around her.
10) Stake her like a vampire, then let ants eat her in the desert.
11) Cut off her head and move it from her body (seen in a vision in Episode 1).
12) Inject her with nanobots that turn her blood to plastic.
13) Cut her arm off, try to attach it elsewhere on her body. Keep doing this until she can no longer move, having been covered in arms. Then leave her to starve.
14) implant a metal shard in her spine, paralyzing her, then wheel her outside to die of exposure.
15) Take her deep into a cave, push her down a crevasse, and leave her there, unable to get out, or get help, ever.
16) Feed her 1/2 the critical mass of a thermonuclear bomb. Wait 3 hours. Feed her the other half. Shove a cork in her ass. Wait for her to explode.
17) IV of roofing tar or other material that will so foul her veins you'll never get enough out to make her live again.
18) Have her get frozen by freeze-girl, and then stored somewhere until freezer-burn sets in.
19) Chop her hand off, feed it to her, hope she grows a new self inside her, and explodes.
20) Tie a heavy weight to her, drop her into an active volcano's caldera.
Crossfire: "Thank you! That explains it very nicely, and in a language that someone other than a physicist can understand..."

well he didn't cut open Mohinder's head so he probably doesn't have super stupid as a power, so he should be okay on that front.

Hey, Dr. Legostar and RKolter. I've been wondering, is there some sort of way humans could develop superpowers like the ones in heroes through some way that completely follows current scientific theories? I figured as CG's resident mad scientists you guys would know. Basically, I want to know if any of the powers on this show could actually appear in the human race. No time limit or anything on how long it would take.
that one does seem most obvious... to everyone but the cast.

The only one I can think of that would be remotely possible MIGHT be the perfect memory from season 1 that charlie had. Otherwise I'm gonna go with "no."
however, don't let this stop you from cutting open people's heads or injecting yourself with strange people's blood.
