There were a lot of people at that service.

I give them credit for paying attention. Most Catholic services I go to, no one pays attention and everyone wants to go home to get away from the screaming babies.
But yeah, hell for them.

I feel like that speaks to the Catholic endurance. These evangelicals need to puff themselves and put on their show, otherwise their entire lives will fall apart as their wobbly faith collapses.
Remember kids, god doesn't want you to make a spectacle out of your reverence. So leave me the hell alone.

Oh, I'm not talking about Bible beaters. I just meant that they appeared to be really attentive, whereas the people at my church really really don't want to be there. It's exactly like Kevin Smith said, "A lot of Catholics mourn their religion, not celebrate it." People that wear religion on their sleeves and constantly berate others for not being religious sicken me.
I'm not even sure what denomination it was, but it was a church in Gloomington somewhere. I was rolling with Intervarsity for a brief period.

Haha, Christ Bearer.
Protestants are too easily amused. Catholics already know this shit, they're just waiting around for the next wedding/funeral/first communion so they can get drunk.

If they had good wine at church, maybe I'd go back. That's not worth getting drunk on.

That would have been funny. Actually, it was just the two of us - his family's from Alabama, but I went to visit him at SCAD. I wanted to go because I'd never been to an extremely conservative, southern, bible-literalist church, and I wanted to see what they were like first hand. It was a bit of a disappointment, actually. I was expecting more fire and brimstone.Yeahduff wrote:The picture in my head of Wigfiddle bringing a pink-haired Nanda to meet the parents with the four of you then going to church is awesome.
Amen.Pushy atheists are kind of annoying.

You need to find some snake handlers. I hear they're pretty hardcore.
Every protestant service I've been to is pretty much the same. People talk and that's pretty much it. I have found they easy to sleep through. With Catholic mass, it's hard to get more then a couple of minutes before you have to stand up again.
I went to a Church of Christ, not mass... hmm, gathering thingy with my fiance a couple of weeks ago. I wasn't impressed either. The speaker wasn't very good, and it was very ordinary. At least Catholicism has nice pageantry.

Heh heh.
Thanks. I don't know the scale of violins, really, so you're probably right.
I should probably have fewer "Lori looking sad" pages.

Looks well enough. And sad pages make me feel good, but you already knew that.
Speaking of instrument scale (ha! a pun), check out this drumset: http://endofthingscomic.com/?p=269
I think it's too small, but was lazy to redraw it. Lets just say it's a bop jazz kit.

I have no frame of reference. But I'll believe you that those are somehow not right.
Heh, you emo bitch.
It just seems that's all I ever have her do, and it's not really her style, when her boyfriend's not being a dick anyway.

Oh c'mon, you're a hipster! You've seen a drumkit or two.
She should chuck the violin out the window in the next scene. Then go to the closet and whip out a viola.

Heh, I googled "sad violin music" and eventually found this song, and then a copy of the sheet music.
I should've posted the song on my page. Maybe I still will.
