The dilated pupils make it rather creepy, to be honest.

He looks like a man who's just about to have an orgasm - and then his mum walks in.

Yeah, that's the idea; however, I like Paul's version better.Bloodied Fox wrote:The dilated pupils make it rather creepy, to be honest.

Is there a reason why, if you don't mind me asking?

That sucks dude.
I hope you're better now.
I'm feeling a little better too after I got an email from a friend.

Oh, sorry, I was gone all weekend. I'm just being paranoid about stuff. Essentially I have an over-devolped imagination combined with not being able to trust myself, all while having a strong sense of empathy and guilt.Hungrywolf wrote:Is there a reason why, if you don't mind me asking?

I totally understand how you feel. The same thing happens to me.TheSuburbanLetdown wrote:Oh, sorry, I was gone all weekend. I'm just being paranoid about stuff. Anyway, I hope you at least had a good weekend. Mine was filled with angry people demanding food.

This brings up a interesting question: Is creativity the product of madness, or is maddness the product of creativity?TheSuburbanLetdown wrote:Oh, sorry, I was gone all weekend. I'd go with little from column A, little from column B. I know I get a lot of my best stuff from my own issues and morbidity

Sounds about right.
I drew this for Nuke. Even though it was brought up in a different forum.

I feel like they're unrelated. There are some great artists who were drug users with mental problems, but there are plenty who were not. There are brilliantly skilled artists with the finest training and there are some great artists who've never gotten a shred of instruction. And so on. It's about what works for you.PortableNuke wrote:This brings up a interesting question: Is creativity the product of madness, or is maddness the product of creativity?

Re: Random drawings and other such things
I digress.I feel that madness and creativity are intertwined. All stories must have conflict, therefore, madness must be involved, since all conflict must have madness. Even happy stories are made with conflict in mind. Rage brings emotion, emotion brings stories. Shiny happy people are the ants, not the rusting mad ones.

Re: Random drawings and other such things
What he said. Creativity can't be reduced to a formula. Claiming that madness or conflict or sausage is an inherent component in creativity is a negation of those creative impulses that does not include said elements. Creativity comes in as many shapes as there are people. And there's no such thing as a non-creative person, btw. Everyone does something, at least occasionally, that is an expression of creativity.Yeahduff wrote:I feel like they're unrelated. Depends on how one defines madness. Lately, my definitions of things have been changing.
Creativity can come from anywhere, really.
