multiple web comics
Re: multiple web comics
Sort of yes and sort of no. I run two stories within one comic. The first being the AntiBunny main story, the other being the side story "Nailbat" which is a sort of super hero spinoff of AntiBunny. Both update on the same website on different days. I separate them out by manually updating the archive.

Re: multiple web comics
Not yet... but the second one is in the works!
I am doing all the work on my current webcomic (boozeathon4billion), which is a gag-a-day type of thing and is single framed, so doesn't require a whole lot of work... and I am starting a second webcomic with a friend of mine; he'll be drawing it and I'm writing it. That way I can do two comics while really doing the work of one and a half.
It will also give the other comic enough of a stylistic difference and writing style difference that it won't be confused as being just mine or just his work. So far its been fun.

Re: multiple web comics
I've finally reached the point where Cooties is updating regularly without too much hassle, so I've decided to start a second comic. I've been doing a straight storyline for so long that I need another outlet for some other ideas, so I'm starting up a gag strip, too.
This time, though, I will be learning from the mistakes I made the first time around. I'll be making a good 20-30 strip buffer before even starting the site up, and while doing so I'll be able to guage whether I can do a once, twice, or thrice weekly strip, so I'm not constantly changing it around on my readers or just updating sporadically.

Re: multiple web comics
I'm doing five at the time. Only three of them are webcomics, so I don't know if it counts. Sometimes the schedule is a bit hard to juggle (The Building updates M-W-F, Zodiac Blues T-T, I'm doing a Rainbow Brite remake updating Sundays on DA, and the other two update every four months in digital format), but I've found that drawing at least a page a day is improving my art more than just doing excersices as before.

I have two. Which now seems a bit stoo-pid 'cause now I have 2 comix that don't update enough.
I did manage to stop myself from cranking up a third one, tho. ADDs a wunnerfull thing.

Three? Besides for Pimpette and Shenanigans, what's the third? Or do you mean Buttercat?Pimpette wrote:Yes.
I have three.

Re: multiple web comics
Four at the moment - two daily, one twice a week, and the fourth one not on any fixed schedule. Of course, it helps that one of the daily ones usually requires no drawing (and sometimes no writing, either) and that the one not on any fixed schedule almost never updates.

Re: multiple web comics
I started this little thing on the side. Its a leisurely thing, and more fun than my normal comic. Also I have yet to post any of the strips. they are completely done with just ink, but fun for people who look through my sketchbook irl.

Now correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't that mean its not a webcomic? =Pphact0rri wrote:I started this little thing on the side. Its a leisurely thing, and more fun than my normal comic. Re: multiple web comics
I kind of do multiple comics within the same comic, but that's only possible because I do panels or strips that are meant to stand alone or be part of a short series (kind of a running gag). That makes it easy to have a couple of sets of recurring characters. I have regular people, most of whom are teachers at the same school, and animated objects (usually numbers with faces). The two have not (and will not) cross. I've also done a couple with stick figures for quick jokes that my poor artistic skills would otherwise detract from. Other than that, I use whatever I can passably draw.
Were I doing a comic book, I guess one would be the main feature and one would be the back-up feature. And I'm old enough to remember back-up features in comic books. (sigh)

Even though I'd love to, it's impossible timewise.

Three currently, although one's a group project. Mindmistress, Flickerflame, and the Crossoverlord. The first is MWF, the last weekly, the middle is SUPPOSED to be weekly, but it's the first I'll sacrifice if I'm running behind.---Al

Re: multiple web comics
As i've long since given up any pretence of updating regularly/at all, i have several webcomics "on the go", from the was-once-daily Insanity Please to the when-i-feel-like-it (which isn't often) Agent Smoke. My self-published comic has two seperate stories running at once too (though one of those is shared with the internet), and will have a 1-2 page humour strip too if i can think one up
I MAKE MANY COMICS / Some are on paper! / Used to have one on Keenspace too...

Sadly my Wii wouldn't speak to me if I added another webcomic....
