well last thing I heard was that they decided to put it on hold. They don't have a script yet even. Personally I wish they'd just can the project.

whats worse is the name they are going with.. "American Heroes" ha ha...

I haven't liked any of the superhero moves I was dragged to recently, and this "American Heroes" (haw) does not sound like it will drastically change my opinion.

Speaking of which, anyone notice that ad at the top for that thing called "Superhero Movie?" They should just fucking stop and make one last movie called, "Good Movie."

At least it'll have some semblance of quality. One of the German channels decided to dedicate four Tuesdays to "Funny Movie", which consists of four self-produced spoofs.

Superhero Movie is being made by some of the folks that made Naked Gun.

Figuring that means a quality boost.

Just like i promised! I'll post the colored version of this along with Tom Welling as supes! When it comes to the real film why would you have three different people playing Supes?! Brandon Routh is Supes in the stand alone film, Tom is supes on t.v and they're trying to get a new dude to play him in the JLA film! That doesn't make sense! Just keep it down to two! Brandon in the stand alone film and Tom in the JlA one! Alot of people want to see Tom Welling as Superman. That would be making history if you think about it!

How is that "making history"? What's so historical about it? Characters are often played by new people over time. Superman has been portrayed in television and film by: George Reeves, Christopher Reeve, Dean Cain, Tom Welling, not to mention the voice actors for animated projects. James Bond has been played by Sean Connery, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, George Lazenby, David Niven (spoof or not he's James Bond), Pierce Brosnan, and Daniel Craig, and that's not counting radio adaptations.

You never seen that play out ever! A t.v series of supes as a child grow up and be The man of steel in alive action film!

I think so too. If I'm watching a crappy movie, I'll rather see one that has no budget, since there's a smidgeon of hope that it was made with some kind of effort.

Dunno, "Scary movie" sequels didn't get any better when David Zucker started directing them. :-?

Come to think, why should Hamlet be played by different actors around the world? We could be making history by picking one actor for hamlet and having him play in all productions!

Wouldn't know myself, since I haven't seen any of them past 2.

Still, the trailers for Superhero have been pretty good so far. Just have to wait and see if the stuff in the trailers were the only good parts at all.

Damnit. Coming into this thread, I was all like, "anything DC that isn't Batman can just go straight to hell." But, now, I find myself intrigued by the the thought of seeing Green Lantern and Wonder Woman on the ol' Silver Screen. But, I swear to all that's holy, if they cast some talentless, fluffy little starlet like Jessica Alba or Scarlett Johansson as WW, I'll boycott every DC product ever made afterward.

Aw, crap. Now I'm thinking about who would make a good Wonder Woman, enough to even think about drawing her.

THIS THREAD IS PURE EVIL!
