Published Book?

Post by Galacticus »

So, gemma and I want to start doing the next few chapters at a high enough quality to print. The book would probably have about 200 pages of full toned pages, plus a bunch of cool extras not available online, such as bonus comics, pinups, stories, and gemma's sketches. There would also be more actual yaoi, probably to a high pg-13 or so level.

It would be available online, obviously, via paypal, but if it really took off we'd try to get it in stores. It would be the usual manga prize. ^^

What do people think of that? Is it worth doing? :)

I'd love to! >.> But there's the whole issue of buying things online... XP I'd have to use my dad's card... >.> and he'd likely go into some huge rant about wasted money... XD If it did get sold in a store I wouldn't get that lecture... >.> unless it was in some weird little store... O-o; and then dad would be like 'blah blah, waste my time going to some place, *swears, starts rant on something else*' >.> Evil... XD But I want!

i keep forgetting that most of our fans are too young to have their own paypal. XD ironic, as we'd probably have to put a parental advisory sticker on it, haha...

Heh I could get a paypal if I had a credit card... O-o; but credit cards are a fine way to get in debt... >.> heh, I'm just too much of a nut when it comes to spending...

>.> and about the parental advisory... O-o; I've noticed that a lot of parents just don't care, especially when it comes to books. lol XD It's like 'they're reading /and/ they're out of me hair! What luck!'

i don't have a credit card either for the same reason, but i'm not sure you actually need on to have paypal. well, there's always your parents's acount. XD

i wouldn't say they don't care, so much as they just don't know about the questionable content, haha... XD my dad saw one of those stickers on one of manga, once, and i told him, "oh, it's just because it's gay. everything gay gets a parental advisory sticker - it's so unfair!" and he said, "yeah, the world's like that - it is unfair." and i got away with it. XD

but now i am old enough to ignore those stickers, so hopefully galacticus fans will grow with me, haha. ^^;

XO Every time I bug my dad about stealing/borrowing his account he tells me I should get my own credit card... XP 'build up your credit' he tells me... >.> and I guess that's a smart idea. XP but I don't want to worry about it yet...

True... XD Guess I'm just biased... >.> since around here it didn't seem like parents really cared... XP I remember when I was 12 all the parents would just let their kids watch all sorts of 18+ shows like South Park and American Pie... XP

>.> I'm one to talk, though... XP I actually let my mom read one of my man-porn stories when I was, like, 16... XD She was just worried if it'd be too graphic for the site I was putting it up on. lol *shrugs*

Anyhow... I'm bothering my dad into letting me spend my Christmas money online... so maybe I'll finally be able to donate to Galacticus..!

well, i suppose it is possible to use a credit card responsably... just make sure you never spend money you don't have, haha. ^^

as for your parents not caring... you are very lucky. :O i wasn't allowed to watch south park until... well, i'm still not sure if i'm allowed, but i do anyway, haha. XD i mean, my parents are very liberal and loose, as per most of canada and thus my parents' friends, but, somehow, still... silly. X3 i couldn't imagine lending my mom man-porn, and i'm actually old enough to read it! @o@;;

and, aw, i'm happy for you getting stuff online, but... if it's an xmas present, don't waste it on donating, haha! ^^; we're touched you thought of us, but... if you aren't getting a lot of money, you should spend it on something more valuable, and get something back with it. ;)

Heh, that's exactly what my dad told me I should do. XD

Ah! No, no, my parents cared... XD My mom still hates it when I watch South Park... (Cartman is so gay..! ha ha) >.> It was the other kids... they'd all come to school in their SP t-shirts talking about how Kenny died... Heh, I thought it was unfair because all the other kids got to watch and my parents wouldn't let me...

XD Heh, I like talking to mom about yaoi sometimes... >.> but she's like 'don't tell your father I like this stuff' heh XD

^_^ I'll keep that in mind... but chances are I'll just spend it on yaoi anyhow... ... XD

you're lucky, for some reason our mom always says she doesn't get yaoi's appeal. O.o;; how do you explain something like that? i don't get how she doesn't get us, sometimes. XD

well, if you must buy yaoi, there's always tea leaf, haha. X3 i think yolin's story, through the eyes of death, is pretty yaoi-ful. ^^; galacticus is, too, but... not so much in tea leaf, due to gem being silly. :P stitch isn't, and i haven't read the white snake story, but... it might be gay? ^^;

cartman certainly is, but... i prefer to slash stan with kyle. ^^

XD My friends are all like that. They just think it's cute... that I like it... O-o; not the gay... heh :P Their logic confuses me...

Oh yeah... tea leaf..! -_-; it's amazing how little my brain works sometimes... *cough*

XD I like StanxKyle..! ^_^ Butters is my favorite character, though... ^_^ He's such a loser, but it's cute!

It is strange; all straight men seem to understand yuri's appeal, but most straight woman can't grasp yaoi's appeal. @_@;; very odd.

butters is cute, lol. X3
