It's Halloween! Woot!

It's Halloween! Woot!

Post by Dennis Kininger »

Okay...I dressed up at work, who else did?

Yes, I'm a Pirate Librarian! Yarr!

I had planned to be a Demon Pirate Librarian but my horns weren't fitting right with the bandanna.

Dennis

PS: The only people who actually dressed up today were me, my co-worker and one of the circulation desk girls. Everyone else was a party pooper.

PPS: If anyone cares, I'm wearing my handmade leather boots I bought at the local renaissance fair some years back. They're fun to wear at comicons and I also wear them periodically during the year.

This is a pic of the front of our Circulation Desk.

Various staff members decorated pumpkins...who can spot mine?

Okay, here's mine...If anyone is familiar with the DEATHNOTE manga or anime, I haven't seen the anime, yet, but I'm digging the manga, my pumpkin is based on the Shinigami (a Japanese death God) Ryuk, a character in the story.

I don't have a manga handy but I'll post a pic of Ryuk tomorrow for comparison.

So, here's my Shinigami death pumpkin:

I shaved my mustache and drew one on as a costume.

Cool...I was tempted to get contact lenses and then wear fake glasses but I was lazy and did the pirate get-up instead.

I made a "pirate ship" out of paper from the trash. XD My boss told me and the other Cristy to take a Captain Morgan pic so we did.

No one said we were allowed to dress up this year, since we changed to CORPORATE dress code they have been real sticklers about it. So I just wore my elf ears and my uniform. People showed up dressed up and I felt very sad. When asked what my costume was I either told them I was a zombie ninja vampire pirate assassin robot werewolf from the future ... or the Worst Elf Ever. W.E.E. got the better response believe it or not, I told them I got kicked out of Santa's workshop for having a bad attitude so now I had to work for Wal*Mart. Plus it was a lot easier to say.

Okay...please forgive the uncool old guy's ignorance, what's "TorTing"?

**Great pic, Kristy! Nice to meet Cristy #2 (Waves)...Too bad I live several states away, I could've rounded up a few swords and posed for some dueling pics with the pirate Kristy/Cristy in my pirate get-up. Oh well, I had fun.

I'm currently reading book 5. I'd enjoy seeing your McGonagal costume, if possible.
