American vocabulary

Post by Eheheh »

On this page Eddie says 'Ima' - I've come across this in several different webcomics written by American artists now, so I'm guessing it's a word in the US? From context I'm also gonna guess that it means something like 'I will', is that correct?

It's sloppy English for "I'm" or "I am".

I wasn't really aware it was commonly used. I say it allot when I am being silly, like "Ima going to get you" or something. It's just basically silly strange Eddie talk, he's often times used random foreign and made up words. Probably best to never think too much into the origins of his vocabulary.
