I really like that concept for introducing the hunter. I was trying to think of the proper way to hunt a geek, and the only thing I got besides casing the usual haunts was to track them. And any DnD nerd has more dice than Broomhilda has hairpins, so it's either that, or putting down traps like piles of dice or a manual hanging over a fire. The over the shoulder view in the last panel is a classic, and I love the fit with the feel of the page.

Oooh, that looks like a nice page. I agree that the intro storyline you wound up using was the right choice, though -- we WANT to know about the villain now, but you have to build up that eagerness for revelations in your readers before you start revealing things!

This Sketchbook Sunday's going up a bit early, because I will be at a funeral out of town tomorrow, and have no idea when I'll have internet access. (I also have no idea how I'm getting back, but that's another challenge for another day!)

This sketch is based off a conversation xaq and I had once, when he was toying with the idea of running a pirates game featuring our Shadowrun characters. (We would swap bodies with our past counterparts, obviously, to have some reasonable explaination why we now had no cyberware, and no metahumans.) I kept trying to imagine my troll character as a pirate, and came up with these sketches. The game never got off the ground, but these sketches still make me giggle.

I like the "I Dream of Jeannie" one where she's got her arms folded and her expression says "You have GOT to be kidding me!" XD

This one is late, for good reasons. I was out of town, at a LARP. :) And so, to make up for it, I give you a random selection of robots.

Robopuppy! I always thought that the best pets are the ones you can program yourself... And install laser eyes in.

No Sketchbook Sunday last week - Thanksgiving sort of snuck up on me, and by the time the turkey-induced sleepiness had worn off, it was mid-week.

So, to make up for it, I hunted in my sketchbooks for something especially weird, random and geeky. I give you - Dancing Wookies!!!

Oh, and some ewoks. And a platypus. Why a platypus, you ask? They're not especially Star Wars-ian... I say NEVER question the presence of a platypus!! They're crazy, I tell you! They have beaks -and- poison barbs!! That's worse than geese! If the platypus want to dance around with the wookie, I'm not going to stop him.

hehehe. I was just talking about wookies today, and here they are! Gotta love the dancing furballs.

Oh, and belated happy Thanksgiving! I totally forgot with all the tests last week. Hope you enjoyed the good food and cold weather!

I do believe it was Thanksgiving in Canada, which helps narrow down what part of the world our dear Alina lives in. *evil grin* MWAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAA!!!!!

Um, I was totally laughing at the platypus. Yeah, that's it. Wasn't planning to abduct Alina and make her do comics in my evil sweatshop of doom at all. Nope nope. Never crossed my mind. Just think that platypus is so frickin' awesome! >.> <.<
