Yeah, Howard's link has given me a decent amount, but could it possibly explain almost 8,000 hits in one day. I mean it's not even 6 pm here in Chicago, and I usually don't start getting a major amount of hits 'til about 8 pm.~Caleb------------------

No, that's Howard.Remember, people prowling around your site also give you new pageviews. I have over 4k pageviews today, and it's only 4:30 here now. People seem to be viewing our archives, and that boosts us quite a bit, too -- we'll see if we keep many.Remember hits is a much less useful number...------------------

That's what happened when I got linked from The Suburban Jungle. Whompin' big numbers the first few days, then a gradual, almost textbook-smooth, decline until they stabilized. This happened to me a few times in January. Howard's link did help alot--but the huge spike I got in traffic was being on Space.com I think. I would suggest getting as much online exposure as you can.- I was beginning to think that Howard had somehow tweeked his html code to give huge amounts of hits to people...hmmmm, could be <IMG SRC="http://www.keenspace.com/forums/wink.gif">------------------

My comic only got in the triple digits with page views once today and the number was 137 ... all other hours today I got between 7 and 77 pageviews. So I got a total for today of over 800 pageviews ... I think that's a new record for my comic. I didn't update today, though.------------------

I know one thing that helped me out was doing some fan art for Cool Cat Studio. The art was done before my style was anywhere near where it is now (and it still has a long way to go). I don't like my fan art anymore. Jeremy turned out OK, but my character on there looks like a 4 year old drew it. <IMG SRC="http://www.keenspace.com/forums/smile.gif">Anyhow... fan art is good. Not only is it flattering to the artist (see my post "iRockZ is the man!" in the main forum for more info), but it is also good for hits.I just thought I'd let 'cha know.
