Found it!

As promised, here is my contribution to fan fiction.

The Best Stargate SG-1 Fanfic Ever

On a distant world a stargate begins to open. A prior walks out of the gate and looks around at the land that looks like the Scottish highlands. He begins to take a step when all of a sudden a large rock caves in the side of his head. A tall man clad in gray furs strolls out of the tree line a good dozen yards away and picks up the prior's staff and the rock. Leaving the corpse where it lies he considers the merits of his new golf club as he strolls home.

The End

If you don't get it then you just aren't a real Stargate fan. :P

ROFL! OMG! He got a hole in one! XD
Simple Simon met a pieman going to the fair;
Said Simple Simon to the pieman "Let me taste your ware."
Said the pieman to Simple Simon "Show me first your penny."
Said Simple Simon to the pieman "Sir, I have not any!"

Half-elves and golems and nymphs, oh my!

Heh, actually the rock was supposed to be large, like bigger than your fist. As long as you like it I shouldn't complain though.

Oh yes.
Never fear the bullet with your name on it. Watch out for junk-mail shrapnel addressed to 'occupant'.

Early SG-1. After about season 7, it got less interesting and started jumping sharks for a living.
