Yeah, I can see "muahahahaha" being an evil laugh, but since it's becoming animeic, shouldn't Mike be doing the traditional evil japanese laugh "OOOO-hohohohohoho" or something? (just as a small bit o' trivia, that particular laugh dates back to japanese stage plays, where the villain-usually only female villains, though--would use this laugh in a sickly, high-pitched voice)Wait, now that I think about it, maybe Mike laughing like that would be TOO scary. <IMG SRC="http://www.keenspace.com/forums/eek.gif">------------------

I was expecting something from the Slayers to emerge eventually. Today's comic was both very disturbing and very hilarious. So when will you be getting into the obligitory giant robots hmm? And which series specifically will you be spoofing? Gundam? Escaflowne? Evangelion? Xenogears? (Not an anime, but it had giant robots)Oh, and did anyone else notice Damonk's name in today's title? Da'Xellos'? Another Slayers ref.

A long time ago, I had a discussion about ratings in Japan. From what my aunt, uncle, mom, sisters and brother could figure out...Nudity above the waist is considered "G" to "PG-13" rated (sometimes full nudity is seen in young boys, but not very often-eg. Crayon Shin-chan)Gratuitous bouncy chests, a full naked body viewed from behind, frontal nudity with genitalia covered, or mild adult situations are considered "PG". This is about as heavy as Japanese TV will get, unless it's really late night television or a special.Heavy adult situations, and copious amounts of graphic violence and gore are considered "R" rated, and are saved for midnight shows, OVAs, or movies.Tentacle sex and outright sex acts are still in the realms of "X" though.Small bit o'trivia: Evangelion was almost pulled from TV in Japan because of one episode that had Misato and that guy Asuka likes, in bed together "getting it on". Although you didn't really "see" anything, the voice actors are pretty good about getting the idea across.------------------

Well, Mike is supposedly smarter than Nahga. That's a scary thought. An intelligent Nahga...We've seen Magical Fairy Princess Alison using magic. Logic would tend towards saying "yes, (he? she?) can."------------------

Hmmm, what do you think is the best spelling? Nahga or Naga? In most of the fansubs I've seen it's Naga. But in ADV's translation of the Slayers Motion pic it was Nahga (though I dismiss them out of hand, since they couldn't even get all the spell names right, they even messed up the Dragon Slave!)

Speaking of laughs, I don't think you have Naga's laugh /quite/ right. When Naga laughs she holds the first O for quite a bit, so it should be like 'Ooooooooooh-HO-HO-HO-HO-HO-HO!!'Bwahaha innocent? well, "naga" is actually an exception, phonetic-wise, since the name stems from another language... as a result, it's "traditionally" spelled "naga" in English, but is meant to be pronounced "Nahga"... go figure...As for what happens next, well... you'll see, but i'll tell you this -- i only wish i had more time to play with this storyline... <IMG SRC="http://www.keenspace.com/forums/biggrin.gif">
