Bah, if she wants a generic fighter give her a longsword and a good shield then give her the Shield Focus feat from PHB2. +1 Shield bonus to AC when using any shield.

If you're using shields then its a safe bet.

IMHO there ar some feats that are good for any character. Quick Draw, Improved Initiative, Toughness (and Improved Toughness if your DM lets you take it later), the save bonus feats, Dodge, and Alertness.

I had a darn good elven Druid whose first three feats were the save boosters. The fourth was Wild Spell Naturally (or whatever they neamed the one that lets you cast spells while in Wild Shape).

Also,
I'm glad someone else in the party has a crowbar. This is a character who is definitely into using brute force to solve problems. There were a couple of other items I wanted but I don't think we'll be needing them anytime soon and I might not have had the cash.

Tom, thous hast been INGSOC'ed.
I made her a scimitar-and-shield, instead, focused on the "killing stuff" bit of fighterdom.
Also, requesting starting $$$ amounts for a fighter!

@Tom: Character approved, save that you get (2 + Int) x4 skill points - You seem to have used just 2 + Int.

Had to go do something. Anyway - The game will start tomorrow at 3:00 PM PST at the latest. Anyone who doesn't have a character by then can stumble across the party when they do have one.

Also, anyone who hasn't PM'd me a link to their character - Please do.

Yeah, I was in a hurry this morning and the skill points suffered. I've got all 12 on my hardcopy.

Narf, how often are we to check in? I can be counted on for at least 3 times a weekday, less on the weekends.

I play live games on the weekends, though a lot of them seem to be getting cancelled this weekend. :/ I have Fridays off this week and next though, so I'll be here around 3.

One post a weekday is sufficient. My posting can get erratic on the weekends, so I can hardly hold that against anyone else.

Whoops! Forgot the bonus feat from being a fighter. Rowan now has Power Attack as well. Cleave, here I come.

Been busy making adjustments to Simon's inventory. I dropped a dagger, one extra set of clothes (though I'm keeping the Entertainer's outfit as his spare), and the crowbar. I also dropped down to Padded Armor. *shrug* I think Simon prefers to travel light and live dangerously. I also added another belt pouch, 10 candles, a flint and steel set, 10 tindertwigs and 5 days of rations. If I've got everything figured up right he's now under 30 pounds encumbrance despite the new additions. You know, gold is relatively light for its value compared to everything else you can buy with it. I'm sure gems are better still, but I haven't been able to find anything on them yet.

Gems are in the treasure section of the DMG (or the treasrue section of the SRD I should think).

There's quite a few spells that require diamonds, and at least one that needs a saphire, but other than those I don't think the PHB mentions gems.

PS
And lets not forget the 50gp in Ruby dust needed for Continual Flame!

Here's the wizard

He is not, for the record, a nudist. I just forgot to put the clothes he's wearing on the list of crap he carries.

Subject to GM approval of course.

I've sent WXgirl a quick draw-up of a mostly-generic kill-stuff fighter.
I left her plentiful room to customize, so she'll have to post it, herself.

In other news:
There are a few people (in the party) whom I can denfinatly imagine "Nightbreeze" Sneak Attack-punching.
Namely, the Cleric and the Mage.
Cleric ~ *Post-punch* "SHUT UP! Thats the SEVENTH time your loud mouth has let the goblins set up a TRAP for us!"
Mage ~ "NO! We are NOT going to murder the children and sell their mothers into slavery!" *punch*

And if the Mage looses conciousness, its not my fault I shut the Evil Guy up.
Okay, so, I probably won't resort to punching party members, but its fun to imagine.

OK, c'mon now, seriously. If you read his description and background I tried to make it pretty clear he's not the "I'm bored, lets burn down an orphanage" type. He's just much more willing to do something violent and terrible to someone he thinks deserves it.

Please, please, please don't go out of the way to start party infighting. I've no intention of backstabbing the party or generally being an ass, but if things go that way I have a hard time coming up with IC reasons not to respond in kind.

Yes, I read the description.
And I did specifically mention that the whole thing was a joke that was simply fun to imagine.
Party infghting is bad, very bad, and can ruin a campaign. Easily. In about twenty minuetes of table time.
I now need to go and catch some sleep before that dreaded 12-hour watch.
