Chocolate?

Post by TRI »

We recently had a topic about a certain chocolate religious icon that ended with a discussion about just what makes chocolate chocolate. Now apparently the FDA is having the same discussion.

I'm sure the EU trade standards committees spent a million Euros sorting out this dilema years ago.

How dare they mess with our chocolate! Is nothing sacred anymore? We must riot in the streets to prevent the loss of the gold standard of the dessert world!

And all that over including 5% vegetable fat, while the FDA is considering allowing up to 25.27% vegetable fat.

The only things Hersheys is good for is a quick fix if there's no other chocolate around, s'mores, and possibly as candle making material although I haven't tried that yet.

If you say Hershy's is terrible, then you have obviously never been given a Hershey's kiss... you poor poor soul.

Hershey's is not as good as some other chocolate out there, but I still enjoy it. I think it's better than Godiva, but generally not as good as Lindt.

I have a personal grudge against Nestle because of the way they extrorted my hometown into giving them tax breaks before ultimately closing, moving to Brazil, and leaving 200 jobless. plus the company kills babies.

worst chocolate brand I've come across is "Palmers". very chalky texture, and the after taste is horrible.

I think it's called Green & Black? It's expensive organic stuff and it's very good. Took me hours to enjoy a single bar.
