Bugger. The Wizard of Id and BC are two of my favourites, being old style comics. Although, truth be told, I'd read them before I'd read most webcomic stuff. :)

Bugger.

What the heck?

Now that's just bizarre...two guys who worked on a comic together (Wizard of ID) and had very similar styles die and pretty much exactly the same time? God's having a chuckle.

IT'S A CONSPIRACY. Clearly someone is assassinating these comic creators! Who will be next?!

Damn. 'Wizard of Id' was one of my favourites to read before the local rag dropped it. D:

Dang. This takes a serious blow to my local paper. We run like... 10 comics, 2 of which being wizard of ID and BC. We ran foxtrot, too.

Honestly I don't read that paper any more, but I assume they had to do some sort of hustle or electric boogaloo to find replacements.

Or they just did the same thing with peanuts and were one of many papers to start running "classic peanuts"

It has been announced that both "BC" and "Id" are going to continue.

Brant Parker hadn't been drawing "Id" for awhile anyway, his son was drawing it.

And although Hart was credited as the writer of the strip, I'm relatively certain more than one person was contributing gags.

You probably won't even notice a difference.

I think I read Jeff Parker has been drawing Id since 1997.

One problem with his style is the occasional strip since he took over that involves Sir Rodney's nose... which now looks the same as anyone else's (and is in fact smaller than the King's!) but was being written for as if it still looked like it did when Brant Parker was drawing it.
