I purchased what is probably the best lego set the company has ever made.

then i built it.

now i'm modifying it and adding on to it.

My grandmother just rented a resort on a lake for our family reunion this year, and Beth and I can make it this time! An all expense paid four day resort stay in the northern forests of Minnesota in August, by a big lake, with my family (who fortunately, I like). Just blocked out the vacation time.

My aunt, who I have a love/hate relationship with, called to ask if we could come, and I said, "So what you're saying is... you called to offer my wife and I a four day all expense paid vacation to a resort with my loving family, and want to know if I'm interested? Gee... I'll have to CHECK." (heavy accent for implied scarcasm)

Grandma rocks.

I don't really use the shortcut buttons. And the magnification strip has a weird conflict with Adobe InDesign and breaks everything.

It's cool though. I don't even use my mouse anymore.

I discovered the other day that frozen concentrated Minute Maid lemonade is better than any carton/two liter lemonades at the store. I also discovered that if you crush up a fresh strawberry into a glass of it, it makes for the tastiest lemonade ever!

And I'm happy that I got up before Jim, so I get the computer and can work on my comic now!

My happy news?

I've actually been a good girl and gone to the gym after work---started packing my stuff and going as soon as the bell rings. Monday I swam until I hit muscle failure and Tuesday I did stair climber. Today my legs are really sore...but it's a good kind of pain. Yay me!

Yesterday I ran a 13:50 2 mile, did 95 situps in two minutes, and 72 pushups in 2 minutes. Best PT score ever.

I am two days away from a Spring Break with NO WORK, NO ROTC (except PT), and the only school work is research at the library. I can handle that because I'll be at home and so won't be cooking.

1. It's Spring Break and I don't have to speak a word of french for another 5 days.

2. I'm spending the break with me fiance and we're happily being lazy.

3. I get to go to San Francisco Friday.

4. Mmm, sushi and fresh seafood.

5. One more agonizing month of the semester (all I have left is 3 final papers and 2-4 tests, then easy street), then I can transfer to a better college. Whooo.

there's two things that always make me smile/happy

1) my cats. They always come when I call them and are always ready for a hug

2) my best friend bobby. He's equally ready for hugs and loves me as much as I love him. We often joke about how He if he had a vagina and I had a penis we'd be the ideal couple :3 (dueling homos lol)

This is the first food I've eaten that I have not made myself or gotten at Denny's in weeks. So yay.

I did some packing, so I am being proactive.

I started drawing a new comic, which I am nervous about because I can't really draw well enough yet to make it look like I want to, and I kind of abandoned my other comic. Problem is now that I'm not in college any more it's hard to get into that mentality to draw it, and besides I'm tired of waiting to start my new one which actually has (gasp!) a plot.

And my chinese food is reeeeally good.
