More, from another quick glance (I'd give it more than quick glances, if I only had the time). On the ToC page:
  • Sometimes the by-line says by, sometimes it's capped, By. Please be consistent. (Lower case is my preference, fwiw.)
  • Editor-in-Chief
    by Matt Johnson http://www.cornstalker.com/

I assume there should be no by/By here, unless there's an article called "Editor-in-Chief."
  • Sponsors:

    Exile's Burn
    by/By anyone?
    http://www.onecrow.net/

    ...

    No Need for Bushido
by/By Alex Kolesar and Joe Kovell
    http://www.noneedforbushido.com/

    American Gothic Daily
    by/By anyone?
    http://americangothic.comicgenesis.com/

Since these four sponsors are listed on the ToC presumably because they have contributed comics as their adverts, give the page numbers where the comics appear.
Next year time could be built into the schedule to have a nitpicky editor review the completed layout. I know some people shrug at little typos and small inconsistencies, but even though it might seem like no big deal, it really does make a difference in whether the outside world preceives people as skilled and professional, or just goofing around. CG should stand tall amongst the bigger guns of FCBD.

I'll have the book all fixed up by lunchtime today and have new PDFs online for everybody to check out one last time before I send it all off to Keenspot tonight.

Ryan, I haven't gotten the list of sponsors yet, though I did update the progress bar with the new total. I also believe I have the rest of the fixed on the book now, so everybody take a look and let me know if there's anything else that needs changing.

I mailed it to your matt@cornstalker.com account from the fcbd001@yahoo.com account this morning. Please check again. I can resend.

On the people who donated, I think IVStudios prefers just Carl Schultz IV - on his second donation, that's the name he used.

I like the text blub on the donators page. :D

I don't mind either. I just figured when money's involved it was best to go by my legal name to avoid confusion later. For the book either or both are fine with me.

For some reason my computer won't open the file so that I can check to see if mine's right or not...so I'll go ahead and say how it should be, just in case...

Crap--I hope this isn't too late, but can my entry on the TOC say "John Thornton" instead of "Glambourine"? If it's too late, no biggie

The going rate is $10 an hour to rent the taser. Reduce rates if you make Ryan chuckle manically during the application process.

I'm pretty sure I'd chuckle like a rat bastard if Lego tasered Cort. Or anyone really, except maybe myself or you Beth.

It is finished. ^_^

I've submitted the cover art and the inside contents of the book to Chris Crosby, and the book is now officially finished. There are a couple things we'll want to wrap up before Free Comic Book Day, however. First, if any contributors would like a copy of the book for themselves, please send me your mailing address at matt@cornstalker.com and I will pass it along to Keenspot so they can send you one.

Also, we're going to need some help to make sure that comic book shops carry the Comic Genesis book this year. For those of you who don't know how Free Comic Book Day works, participating comic shops have to buy the comics they give away for free, but at a much lower rate than actual "commercial" comic books. This means that if you'd like a comic book shop to carry the comic, they need to buy it ahead of time when choosing which comics to give away. If you'd like to help, drop me an e-mail with the city you live in, and we'll try to find some local comic book shops you can visit to ask about the book. Local dealers are very open to supporting local artists, and the more comic shops we can find to carry our book, the more exposure everybody is going to get. It's also loads of fun to be able to show up at your local comic book store, grab a copy of your own book off the shelf and say, "Hey! See, this? I'm in here! Right on page 32!" I did this last year and a couple people actually asked for my autograph. :shucks: You can't beat that for motivation.

So anyhow, great job everybody! I can't wait to see this thing in print. :D

... and I added a question.

If we wanted to get multiple copies, like, five... and were willing to pay for them, could that be done?

Is that the going rate for nagas these days?

And it sounds awesome! :D

Now... we just have to find a way to introduce Free Comic Book Day here overseas... and get them to carry the CG-Books of Awesomeness... piece of cake :shifty:
