Well, if you're stumping for ideas... I'm going to be asking my readers (only once!) to consider me for the Long Form and Superhero categories.

I haven't figured out all my nominations yet, but comics I intend to nominate include:

Newcomer --
Lackadaisy (http://lackadaisy.foxprints.com/)
Fainting Spells (http://www.biev.net/faintingspells/)

Long Form --
Fallen Angels, Used Books (http://www.faubcomic.com/)
Girl Genius (http://www.girlgeniusonline.com/cgi-bin/ggmain.cgi) (I know, everyone will be nominating this, but I can't help myself.)

Superhero --
Johnny Saturn (http://www.graphicsmash.com/comics/johnnysaturn.php)

...I have way more than three in the 'Humor' category, so I'll have to do some difficult paring, there. :)

By the way, when can we make nominations? It was supposed to go up today, wasn't it?

Heh, helps to include the link, LC. :P Tales of the Traveling Gnome is found at http://ttg.comicgenesis.com and I also wholeheartedly endorse TTG for best artist.

Not because it's my comic, mind you... but because it's the comic I WRITE for, and Michelle's artwork blows me away with every update.

Myself, I'll be posting my nominations and why after I'm able to get in there and vote. Not because I don't want to share beforehand... I'm just still deciding on a few of them.

When you read over 400 comics a month, you tend to have a lot to sift through for something like this. :p

Remember though that it's not the readers who vote, but your fellow web cartoonists. Make sure that they're aware of your qualifications.

I posted my list of recommendations over in the Strips Worthy of Nomination topic, so I'll mention my comic here, SPQR Blues. I don't know that I've reached the land of outstanding artists with my comic work yet (I'll leave my ego in other types of art), but I'm pleased with where the characters and storyline have travelled over the past year.

It's set in ancient Rome--ordinary people try to get on with their ordinary lives under the threat of decadent emperors, family intrigue, fish-pickle sauce, and an emotionally unstable volcano. The gods might be intervening, but the hero did get hit pretty hard in the head while fighting in Jerusalem, so I wouldn't always rely on his point of view.

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone else's work. As I've started putting more effort into SPQR Blues, I haven't been reading nearly as many webcomics as I used to. Time to get back into the habit :)

Hey everyone. Glad to see WCCA back in full effect again. I'm throwing my recent comic into the bunch for consideration. It's called 'Pet Professional'. Maybe some of you heard of it.

Last year, I was nominated for my comic 'Today'.

Good luck everyone! :D

I've already posted on the newcomers thread, but I figure that being new means I need to try and get as much exposure as possible. Please consider my web comic Fish Tank for whatever categories you find appropriate (it's a sort of anthropomorphic/sci-fi/adventure/"aquarium fish meets MacGyver" kind of thing). The art's been a work-in-progress through the year, as I was learning to use a Wacom tablet, but I'm very pleased with how the story and character development have come along.

Thanks in advance!

Since this is the thread for it, I'll suggest my own comic Emergency Exit for some possible nominations, going on its fourth year with constant updates and never been nominated before.

We need a category for "historical fiction" next year. :)

EDIT: Oh. Right. You already said that in the other thread. Also, now I am embarrassed because you've said nice things about my comic. :shucks:

And I'll say it again, too!

We need a category for historical fiction next year!

Also, Jonathon Dalton's comics are really nice! XD

I know how you feel.

Sharing a Universe is in it's fifth year and yet to be nominated for anything anywhere.
Although not what you would call constant updates.

Oh it's good I dropped in here...whilst trying to compile my nomination list...glychn - I've spent quite a bit of the morning looking at your stuff and you definitely do deserve nominations...so you've nabbed a spot on my list for P2P and NS - excellent work, will check out more soon as ever I can. :)

Meanwhile, I would like to humbly request you guys check out Between Two Worlds - usually most acclaimed for its use of colour and written characterisation - so I guess those are the categories in which we have the best chance there, though I know some of you are planning to nominate it in other places too, for which I am nothing but eternally grateful and massively flattered.

Also, for our new comic, The Broken Mirror - we would welcome any consideration for Outstanding Newcomer and Outstanding Writing. So please do give both of them a look. :)

Meanwhile, for those of you who, like me, are still shortlisting and looking for other suggestions, (sorry I don't have time to link all these atm, but they can be googled... :)) My nominations so far include the fabulous likes of: Lackadaisy, Fantasy Realms, Fainting Spells, Fungus Grotto, Hector, Breath, Blackbird, A Mad Tea Party, Alpha Shade, Journey of a Ghost, No Rest for the Wicked, Masters of the Art, Gone With the Blastwave, Sandusky, A Girl and Her Fed, Two Kinds, Yosh, ASPS, 10K Commotion, VG Cats, Tensei no Tsuki, Ginger Dead, Stuporheroes and as mentioned above, P2P and No Stereotypes. Yah...been doing lots of reading... *Is flappered*.

Hey there fellow creators! I too have a comic, called White Noise (no relation to the movie XP) and I'd dearly love to get nominated for coloring or writing, or perhaps scifi (though it certainly doesn't demonstrate a good use of scifi-esque gadgetry as of yet).
I second the motion I saw here earlier for Lackadaisy as newcomer. I also want to recommend No Need For Bushido for comedy and web site design.
There are so many great comics out there, I'm thrilled you guys have this forum going here to help with the choosing! 0_o

EDIT: No wait! Crimson Dark owns the scifi genre!

Guess I should jump on the bandwagon too. I make a comic called Edwitch? Maybe people should nominate it?

Dude, I don't even know.

Also for those who don't know Elf Only Inn has been back for a while, it deserves nominations.

Also don't forget Darken.

More pimpage. I'm already listed over at the Newby thread, so I won't do a big one here. Take a gander. Leave a goose. Stop by and have a laugh.

Cheers!

Hi!
I've heard of your comic, but I never got the real chance to read it. But I will very soon, 'cause it looks promising. (I'm talking about the person who started the topic) I'll begin this weekend if I'll have time (and I think I WILL). I'm pretty new into the comic world , like half an year, actually so I'm pretty unknown. The link is my banner. :) I'm a beginner.
