I have no idea if "Letty" is suppose to offensive, actually.
No no! Call him "Letty"! He's not taking enough offence to "Sub".
Haughty spirit and pride make for a wild roller coaster ride!
I mean, as long as you like fairly final endings.

Call him TSL. That's what they call him on the Jack forum.VileTerror wrote:No no! Call him "Letty"! He's not taking enough offence to "Sub".
Hmm... favorite albums of the year? It's really hard to remember what I got in 2006, but I'd have to say I was very pleasantly surprised by Taking Back Sunday's "Louder Now" (even though they seem to have made it to MTV stature, ala Fallout Boy), and the Lawrence Arms "Oh Calcutta!" I definately didn't think that album would be soooo good, but I'm glad I bought it. Oh, also Bigwig's "Reclamation". I remember that was in 2006 because it came out on my birthday. Um... other than that, I'm not sure if there are any albums that knocked my socks off, really. Oh, and even though I'm not a hardcore fan, My Chemical Romance's "The Black Parade" was very excellent, and Coheed and Cambria's new album "Good Apollo...." was very much worth the buy, but not my favorite Coheed album.
And most disappointing album of the year for me was whatever Less Than Jake's new crap is called. They have now officially sold out to the popular style and are diluted beyond recognition to some weak pop punk band with a horn here and there. Very sad... Also, if it came out in 2006, Goldfinger's new album is the same story, and has made me hate them.

McDuffies you hooker!
I still like 'em lots.mcDuffies wrote:I wonder if Cookie is still hooked on Kinks.
As for 2006 albums... hmm... I didn't really buy a whole lot of new albums, I was poor this year. Also, most of the records I DID buy were older albums that were on sale.
But, here we go:
Bob Dylan - Modern times
Elvira Nikolaisen - Quiet exit
Minor Majority - Reasons to hang around
I also enjoyed Tom Petty - Highway companion, but I haven't bought it, only listened to it while working at the record store. Will probably wait until it's cheaper, or until I get money for it somehow.

You might want to check out that Ray Davies solo he made this year. "Other people's lives". Production is very very commercial in a radio-friendly way which throws you off at first, but after a few listenings, it's good old Kinks songwriting.Mo wrote:I still like 'em lots.mcDuffies wrote:I wonder if Cookie is still hooked on Kinks.![]()
