HEY! Hey! Hey! Heeellooo? Did no one read my post about the best games? I though I'd be swarming with people's disagreeing opinions. Well if you don't want to discuss mine, maybe you'll like to look at this.

To Rfokker: I was really looking forward to Ecco the Dolphin DC but I was really disappointed with it once it came out. I don't mind a game that's challenging, but Ecco had nearly no direction at all. I was also pretty disappointed with Sonic Shuffle, too, but that's a different story.
To everyone else: I prefer Dig Dug over Blaster Master...never got into that game myself. But this topic is about the best games of 2000, isn't it? ^_^
--Klonoa

To Nicole: Yes I did enjoy Threads of Fate. That and Chrono Cross and FF9 helped Squaresoft get on my good side again--although I'm hating their PlayOnline thing more and more. Mint was quite a character, although I don't understand her problem with pumpkins. I love pumpkins! Pumpkin bread, pumpkin cookies, pumpkin pie, pumpkin ice cream...Yum! (and yes, there is such thing as pumpkin ice cream). I think my favorite PlayStation Squaresoft games are Brave Fencer Musashi, FF9, Chrono Cross, FF7, and Threads of Fate. Hey Nicole, did you ever play BFM? I enjoyed that game immensely. Very fun, I liked it even better than Threads of Fate.

Yeah, I've heard of Pumpkin ice cream, actually! I was chillin' at Braums, looking at all the weird-ass ice cream flavors (not too long ago actually), and there was pumpkin! What kind of flavor is THAT? n_- I'm not partial to it myself, but like, whatever floats your boat.
I never understood why we didn't see any mad mad Mint/Rod scenes... ;D But! No, I haven't played BFM, though I was s'posed to be borrowing it from my cousin, I think he lent it to someone at school (we all have our fugging stupid moments), and hasn't seen it since. And heaven forbid I go out and rent it and/or BUY it... (Speaking of renting, I rented ff9 the other day and I'm -loving it-. I didn't think I would! Zidane's a badass, Steiner's hi-fugging-llarious, and... well, I named Garnet 'Rinifa,' if that's any hint to my feelings towards her. It was either that or 'Tinoa!' But I finally like a Square male protagonist! Yayness!)

quote:

And I am so sorry you had to be drawn with Time Gal. ^_^

Thank you for your sympathy. u_u n_n But I think it's about time to see some Shinku! yaoi around here... luckily, you will be saved. I didn't really get into JGR that much. Nothing wrong with the game, it just didn't interest me.

Yeah, I know how that is. Not with JGR, obviously, because I luurrve that game, but. It's the only reason I got a Duleemcast, so. n_n (I do have Virtual On: Oratorio Tangram(?) though, and I beat ass when I play as Sera Mun^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^HFei Yen...)

quote:

(Dewprism made more sense, why didn't they use that name?)

Seriously. I don't understand that either. I mean, 'Threads of Fate' is a nice name and all, but... o_o Some people just can't leave well enough alone.
-nicole, the original conjuring cat.

Well, it's nice to see I've got some replies to my 'Best Games of 2000' bit...but, WHAT THE HECK IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE???? I named The Misadventures of Tron Bonne as the best game of the year and I hear no opposition, no complaints? I mean, you've all voiced your opinion about games I missed but no one has questioned my sanity on the Tron Bonne game! I take it you all agree on my choice then? No, I didn't think so.
--Klonoa

To fake_soup: Did Tech Romancer come out this past year? Hmm...well I don't really like fighting games so I guess I missed it. I didn't say my opinions were very fair. ^_^
To Otaku_Ohki: Yes, Rayman 2 was very good (albeit frustrating), but I think it actually came out at the tail end of 1999. I have the Dreamcast one, it's neat. MC Kids, huh
Blaster Master = best game ever
---------------------------------------------
Could only be better if the main characters were Tsukuyomi(Harle), Millenia, and Makoto.

i agree, pc games take a back seat with me aswell but something about UT has kept me playing everyday for a year. quake and all the other fps never really appealed to me until goldeneye64 and since then i was looking for another one to satisfy my bloodlust. epic just took the fps genre and made it fresh again with a variety of new game modes, capture the flag, assault, domination.
------------------

i figured ecco for the DC would be in there somewhere too. the game was hard as hell and very long but quite unique and not to mention fun. ive heard plenty of people bitch about this game but that never stopped me from playing it. if you ever made it to "hanging waters" or whatever the game was quite worth the trouble, that level just blew me away.
------------------

well speaking for myself im hardly in a position to question ur opinion or sanity. if MoTB is ur pick for the best of 2000, so be it. i picked mc kids as the best so what does that say for my sanity? @_o
------------------
