Ditto.
If I didn't have a personal rule of never writing a story in somebody else's created world, I'd be tempted to write my own for yall.

You know the fanfic was good when the author of the inspiring story is disappointed that it won't be continued.RHJunior wrote:well.... POOP.

I'm lost. I've gone to find myself. If I should return before I get back, please ask me to wait. Thanks.
I wonder if Rokas would mind if someone tried to finish it from here? Could this hypothetical someone (BTW not me... I have too much on my plate already) get any background/outline information from Rokas?
If so, do we have any volunteers?
Second generation fanfic... can it work? Let us attempt the experiment...

As a fan of this fanfic, I have got myself in a jam. I asked Rokas in a PM when he was going to continue it. He said he was not going to, told me why, and asked that I not give out the reason why he is dropping this fanfic to anyone else. I am trying to put out the speculation (which he wishes would just die down), but cannot tell why it will not be continued because Rokas asked me not to. Believe me, I am an Asperger's syndrome. When I get infatuated by something (like this fanfic) I am addicted to it. So I feel just as bad, if not worse, than any of you. Yet I cannot tell you why Rokas has decided not to continue this fanfic at all. I am just trying to keep you from asking him every month or so when he is going to start doing something he is simply not going to do.

Sigh.
This will be my final post on this thread.
Rokas is not doing this out of spite or any such reason, but he has a good reason which he is not willing to share and not likely to change. I have PMed him asking him to post whatever he feels he can on this thread about the situation. He will do so, or he will not do so. Up to him. Thank you.

How do I begin?
Look... I just want to say that I appreciate the comments, the compliments, and the speculation. I am honestly surprised at all of them. I thought that people would forget about this story within a few days, or weeks, and then it would promptly be dumped off the top of the topics list as new ones were made or dredged up; just like it happened to other stuff I've written in/for other forums.
Then Tom sent a PM, and he asked about it. I figured, 'well, he actually cares enough to ask, so I'll tell him,' and I let him know my reason and why I am not continuing this story, regardless. I asked him to keep quiet on it only because I wanted to impress upon him that I would rather have liked for the whole thing to be dropped, because I really did not intend to make a scene, or garner attention. Just the opposite, I wanted people to just move on and keep their focus on what brought us all here: RH's wonderful comics. Had I known that this many people actually cared about the story, I would have just posted myself that there would be no more and would never have put Tom into such a position.
Honestly, it was not my intention for this... Confluence of posts, nor was it to place anyone on the spot or cause such agitation.
But the fact remains, that this story will not be updated or added to or otherwise continued. I did not come to this conclusion easily, nor did I do it quickly. I was considering stopping it after the third part, and after this last, I finally decided that my concern was justified. I do, in fact, consider this story a grave mistake on my part, both for the fact of my specific reason for discontinuing it, and for the fact that I am leaving you with a cliffhanger of sorts, of leaving a story hanging in the middle... I personally hate to read only half or part of a story, either the first half and not knowing what happens next, or (especially) reading a book later in a series and thus ruining the effect of its predecessors when I finally read them.
So I do apologize for leaving things like this. If I had my choice I would go back in time and prevent myself from writing this to avoid causing all of this... Disquiet. Not to mention all the crap I feel like now for teasing you all. I do not do this out of spite, nor do I consider it boring or otherwise a chore to write this story; quite the opposite, in fact.
My reasons remain my own, however, for stopping work, and if anyone is bugging Tom about it, I must ask you to cease. He is a third-party in all of this, one I would have never let him know my thoughts had I anticipated this reaction.
So in conclusion, I thank you all for the kind words; they were honestly more than I was expecting. But this will not be continued, nor will I reveal plot information as Draco Dei suggested. I must also ask you to please let this drop and continue on as before. It was a mistake, and it's one I'd like to put behind me and live down.
Thank you, and God bless.

Well, regardless of stopping this particular work, I do hope that you continue writing. It's good, and I enjoy reading it. If you ever write anything else, please do let me (us) know, as I would enjoy reading it.

I think you people misunderstand: I am discontinuing this story, not all writing.
Anyway, thank you again for the words of encouragement and compliments.
If anyone is mildly interested, I have written other things (other fanfics so far) that I could point you towards, though they are not exactly the same kind of thing I wrote here... I tend to be more of a strong PG-13 author for the most part, due to my devotion to making my writing as realistic as I can. (Swearing mostly, some blood.) I hesitate to link to them here given the PG nature of RH's work, so I shan't. So if you're interested, you can PM me.
Now, though, I think I should go for a while; I've made enough of a dang scene. See y'all later, and sorry for the drama.
