It would seem that Ruth is going to have another Ophelia encounter. (Those tend not to go well.

) Who's hoping that she's going to give Nessie a well-deserved smacking?

Ophelia seems effective at countering Ruth's anti-ghost tactics. She may be a more powerful or more determined ghost than Ruth's used to. Smacking Nessie may not be enough to drive Ophelia out.

And there's really no way Ruth would be able to EXPLAIN to Nessie why she hit her...

Well, I just figured it would be better to have some reply to "What the hell was that for?!" besides "Because you're a brat and I felt like it," or "Because there's a ghost in your hair."
