Congragulations

Remember when your imagination was real? When the day seemed longer than it was, and tomorrow was always another game away? Remember when you were a kid and the world held magic the grown ups never knew.

Congragulations

Post by Skylark »

I stumbled onto this comic about three weeks ago and since then have read all the previous strips. I just wanted to say that I think your comic is awesome. Hope the adventures keep on coming cos I'll be waiting for them.

Thanks, that's really encouraging. I'm glad the kids and their little story mean something to you.

They'll be running around for quite some time yet, no worries about that. I still like spending time with them.

Hope to hear from you again. How's the world up North?

Cheers.

the world in CQ is hot and dry :( counting down the days till winter and uni - the uni has aircon. I'm really glad you're not going to dig up Wendy. I don't think she'd be too impressed.

No, she probably wouldn't be, would she? Mind you, it'd be right up Cody's line of thought, so I'm not surprised readers saw it on the horizon.

Oh...are you the new regular reader from the Ubobo area? I get that location a lot in the tracker I use.

Ah. Okay. Close enough. :)

Just means I have at least three other confirmed Queensland readers...that makes four.

I guess that's because the internet lets you be inside out of the stinking hot sun, eh?

Yup :D but its not too bad at the moment with the cyclone up north. We have a nice strong breeze.
But I'm on holidays at the moment with a lot of time on my hands and not a lot to do - hence the internet

Ah. Fair enough. Haven't heard anything about the cyclone up there...haven't had much chance to watch the news lately either though...

Besides...cyclones this time of the year are a dime a dozen, aren't they?

Aw, cyclones up your way...

Bushfires down here...

Each to their own, eh? :)

Guess so. At least there are benefits from cyclones like rain. Not too much good comes out of bushfires.

Aw, there's always the regrowth of the bush...some of our trees can't actually reproduce without the heat of a bushfire to crack open their seeds...

But other than that...not much more than a big light show, no.

Yeah, it does.

They can practice somewhere else next year though. Watching a big cloud of black smoke billow up over the horizon is not my favourite way to spend a 40 degree day...

It's always exciting to watch fires though. When I was little we had all this grassland across the road which caught fire a couple of times. We would sit on the verandah and watch them try to put it out. I loved it. It's all been developed now. :(

Oh.

Might look a little different with trees all around you...a little scary to see the flames in the distance and know it's coming in your general direction...

But I agree...the power and energy behind them is unreal to behold.
