Actually, my fiance bought the head-box anyway, and inside there's a little form where you can send away for a box to match the other boxes. The form also includes a checklist where you can mark why you want the matching box, and the options include something like "I'm really anal" or "I'm a nerd" or something similar.Kat North wrote:Me too! They have to look alike or else it's just WRONG!!!Glarryg wrote:I got mad when they released "The Simpsons" season 6 in a package that looks like Homer's head, because it doesn't match the boxes for the other seasons. I still haven't bought it yet.
Thought of something else. I have three different erasers that I use while drawing. I've named them all.

Ah, I seejesusabdullah wrote: Honestly, I don't know anything about it, nor did I make the claim that I did. I just say that stuff to irritate my friend. Also, the name of the movie suggests it to me.
It's good to know, though, that my friend is sane--or at least as sane as people on the CG forum.
Yeah, it's a title that would lend itself well to some Rainbow Bright-ish made-for-tv merchandise-tie-in movie. Especially when you see the ghastly cover for the DVD release. The marketers were definitely trying to aim for a 6-year-old girl market

Just as a warning...don't bother with Neverending Story 2 or 3. 2 makes a half-hearted attempt to deal with elements from the second half of the book (the first movie only covers really the first half of the book), but is just bad overall. Neither sequels are worth it.Mercury Hat wrote:Already own it, got it for a dollar at a flea market. Also good are other translations of stuff Michael Ende wrote (and I would assume the original German versions too).Mercury Hat wrote:Thinking about dark children's movies reminded me of The Neverending Story. I would put Chronicles of Narnia: Lion, Witch, & Wardrobe in the same vein. Lots more characterization in the movie than in the book.phactorri wrote:speaking of books usually better than the movie... I found a movie better than a book. I recently read the bourne idenity and would be one to say the movie was actually better than the book.

My geek just shows, always. I'll always do something to show the world what a geek I am.
-I have video game posters in my room.
-I'm always explaining the world to my friends ("Why is this like that?" "Well blabalablablablabalabla" "nerd!")
-I have a command and conquer T-shirt... >.<
-I love, and will always love, Tazmanian Devil, Marvin the Martian, Animaniacs, Pinky and the Brain, Ren and Stimpy, Freakazoid, and other such cartoon classics of my youth.
-I've done more than one all nighter watching shitty movies and playing games.
-I've brought a sketchpad (very very small, mind) and pencil out drinking once. Some interesting doodles on that thing.
-I make nerd puns (How much does a neutron cost? Nothing, its free of charge!)
-I taught myself to play the keyboard.
-I can't resist singing along to ska-punk
-Or dancing
-The dancing is really something you should see
-Now, back on topic
-I have a picture of "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly" in my room
-My calendar has important geek dates on it, like the release date for the PS3
-There are more cables on my desk than papers
-I read STEPHEN KING
And I know alot of useless trivia about random crap. Which makes me an ideal Trivial Pursuit player. I amazed friends one time with
"What element makes superman weak?"
"Kryptonite"
<looks of shock and awe>
But being a know it all doesnt make me a nerd. Nerds get good grades.

The second movie wasn't that bad, but it delved into "wtf?"popsicleman wrote: Just as a warning...don't bother with Neverending Story 2 or 3. 2 makes a half-hearted attempt to deal with elements from the second half of the book (the first movie only covers really the first half of the book), but is just bad overall. The third movie... WTF?
Seriously... why are the characters from the book now on earth? It came off as a bad excuse to make a third movie.
I remember the first movie as "I like the flying wiener dog"

I haven't seen the movie either, but I'd already heard about Prime's death. Doesn't it happen kind of early-on, though?yeahduff wrote:Don't worry, he came back, like, five episodes later.Toxic wrote:Am I the only one here who hasn't seen the Transformers movie, and just had the ending totally ruined?Tynan wrote:Am I the only one that cried at the death of Optimus Prime in the Transformers movie?
