Mouse + tablet. For flowy things like clothing and hair I use the tablet, but for with less curves I use the mouse.

I don't think there is any right or wrong way to draw everyone has their own little quirks.

I do most of my work on paper and scan, but I also either trace or do bits (hands, bag, bottles, etc.) with the tablet, and the complex structures that require straight lines seen in my work are made with vector graphics and then exported to bitmap.

By tablet i mean tracing hand drawn sketches, digitally i mean doing everything on the computer with a mouse.

What im really asking is what do you use to get your comics onto the web, probably should have been abit clearer

I pitty da foo who traces his sketches on paper with a tablet. IT'S IMPOSSIBLE, I TELL YOU!
I made most of my comics by drawing everything with tablet, starting from the sketch. Nowadays, I mostly do everything on paper and then scan. And then I print the scan and scan it again in order to resize the image.

The main reason why I'd use a tablet is for digital coloring. I am no good with traditional coloring media, and the mouse doesn't allow for nice curvy lines without destroying your wrists.

For actual comics, I've switched from scanning in inked-and-shaded stuff to scanning in sketches and inking them on the tablet (and mcDuffies, I find it much easier to ink with a tablet! ), but for non-sequential art, I generally just do everything digitally.

Colouring is so much easier with a tablet...

If it's about price, tablets are really coming down in price these days. I got mine for $400 with a student discount, but I've seen them go as low as $75. And while they're hard to get used to at first, I will never go back to using the mouse for any drawing-related stuff again.

My tablet is too small to trace my drawings, which i do on a a4 page, so i went back to scanning.

I was sure i added an option for all 3 >.<

If you have a tablet then Painter is good for sketching, inking, and coloring. I've been doing that lately.

I once ate a whole box of friskies on a dare. Don't do that. They really absorb water well, and if you don't drink enough fluid, they jam up your entire GI tract. It hurrrrrt.
