Sigh... DD is down again... and, not unlike a phoenix arising from the ashes of its previous incarnation, so this topic is born again, and I find myself staggering in out of the cold into the CG offices.
This place has changed since last I was here. There's a new receptionist, for one thing. I stare at her and mumble through my chapped and broken lips: "Hey, can I, like, use your lobby's couch? Just for tonight."
The receptionist glares at me through horn-rim glasses. There are many ways to say no around the world, but the easiest way is to not say anything at all.
"N'kay thanks," I murmur, and promptly keel over onto a slightly water-stained sofa. Normally I would be wary from my last visit, but instead I fall stone asleep from the quiet hum of the lobby elevators.
