So what do you think? What should we do to get people interested?

Why haven't you downloaded and printed a sampler?
Why not trying to collect new people through Comixpedia?

*cough*

Umm....Just a suggestion for next time, but maybe you should wait a little longer in between samplers. I mean, the last one was released when, 4, 5 months ago? That's not ALL that much time for new webcomics to come up and build an archive big enough to warrant a submission.

...

Okay, I admit it, I'm just ticked that I joined a few weeks too late to be an active part of this....heh....

How often do you update? By the time we get enough submissions, you might be able to submit yours. These usually take about 6 months or more to finish. This one is taking an exhorbinately long time.

Err, haven't quite figured that out yet. I just got my site yesterday. :D I've done some editing and whatnot, but I have yet to fully pretty-fy it.

For the first week or so, it'll probably update once a day. After that, maybe....two or three times a week?

So, yeah. It'd be better to leave this to the more established comics.
The manipulation is beginnning....

There's no sign up. If you've got a webcomic with enough archive for readers to look at and you fully intend on continuing it into the forseeable future (ie, the distribution time of this comic) then by all means, submit something. :D

I'll take a crack at it! I have some one shots from my comic that would work (my story arcs are too long for a submission), and I hope to be working on my comic for a long time :)

Here's my submissions. Pick one, two, or all three.

Awesome! However, you will need to reformat the pages a bit. Check out the first post of this thread for the rules.

I want to get in on this, I came up with a short story comic I can do using my comic characters, I think I can keep it down to five pages, haven?t plotted it out yet but shouldn?t be more then five. I?ll get to work on that. Also I was curious if there were any specific requirements for the content on the back cover?

I promise at least one page, but first I have questions.

My comic's a fancomic (for the anime Hellsing). Does "no copyrighted content" mean I can't mention the title of the anime, names of characters, etcetera?

(I have a few gags in mind that play off of the copyright restriction . . . but the whole thing is pretty much moot if I can't even say what it's a fancomic of.)

FAUB, 2 questions:

1) can I replace my one submission with this?

and 2, which really depends on 1, or vice versa) is this too gory for the pg-13 cut-off?

edit: Sorry 'bout that Faub. rkolter just showed me how to do this a couple days ago

you REALLY need to make web versions so we can see what they're going to look like, WoW. The new page looks fine, but you need to add your website and your comic's name somewhere.

SailorPtah, Hellsing is a problem because you're using copyrighted material. I would have to say, sorry it's best not to include you. We would have to leave out the parts of your comic that would draw the most readers, namely the Hellsing characters, name and story. I would hate to withdraw the sampler or put up something that tracked downloads because of a copyright violation.

I have some original characters; I can do a page that's relevant to the comic without using anything under copyright. (I don't mind not getting a lot of readers from the sampler; I think it would be cool just to be featured.)

The exception is the "hellsing" in the URL hellsing.comicgen.com. If that were the only actual use of something copyrighted, could I get a page?

Page one, first reply, I said I'd do something for this one.

Dammit.

Merc just posted the wiki entry and that reminded me.
