Indeed. It was unavoidable. I'm sure our favourite talking monkey would have told us so. I wonder what the longer range fallout from this will be, though... There have to be a lot of interests who've been keeping tabs on Jack besides Nyarlathotep, and the Illuminati not least among them. His going soulless is likely to stir some people to action, and his alienating the one operative who was probably best disposed towards him seems likely to come back and bite him on the ass. I suspect our favourite talking monkey might tell us that, too.
I wonder how Hook's going to feel about Maria's new look? It's not permanent, of course, and he's hardly in a position to pass judgement...
