Y'know... this is kinda silly but... Got my boss touting me as a computer programmer (hey, as long as he says so and I'm getting paid, I shouldn't argue). OK, i guess i'll play along...I'm Mel, i likve in Michigan, USA, in a small resorty type town that is very boring between september and may and full of idiot tourists the rest of teh time.

I am 26, JUST got my geology degree from a local university, and am currently working retail while searching for a geo-job.
I'm tall, overweight, single, have very little self esteem but i'm getting better thanks to a couple of wonderful friends and one in particiular.

Alright, you got me cornered *gg*So there...I too originally come from S8 gargoyles chat and one fine day I made the big mistake to follow an innocent-looking link to this place and got hooked.My roost is located in germany and during the day I disguise myself as a human being and study comp science at a little german university whenever I find the time between my many jobs with which I try to save up enough money to visit the next Gathering of the Gargoyles convention year after year (and thus I have to live with a downright ancient PC because all my "update money" goes into flight tickets*gg* )I'm doing network administration and webpage programming for a living and my hobbies are sports archery, photography, reading good fantasy books (like Lord of the Rings, Forgotten Realms, Christine Morgan's "Magelore" books and even Harry Potter).
My permanent nemesis is my car with which I'm in a sorta love-hate-relationship, I love it because it's fast and still good-looking for a 9 year old car and I hate it for eating up so much highly expensive gas, having a high affinity for dirt and always breaking down whenever I think I finally saved up enough money for my next trip to the USA.My RPing character is a gargoyle (of course) with a rather puckish sense of humor and a few magical abilities to go with it (ask Arno, he'll confirm that I'd wager <IMG SRC="http://www.keenspace.com/forums/wink.gif"> ).
Occasionally when I feel like it, I tend to turn into a feline or a dragon, if necessary also into a mere human like mentioned above.

You're 15?! I'm impressed. Considering how educated you are and how very fine your English appears. If someone were to do a "You know you've seen a European Kid When ..." list I think one of the first points they'd make is that they can write and speak the English language better than the continents that pride themselves on it. ;>

As for the comment on european kids speaking better enlgish than say...UK or US kids I think it has to do with how they're taught it. If that makes sense...o.O

Indeed, it is a rather unfriendly country, full of arrogant people. I'd much rather be somewhere friendlier, like ... oh, I don't know, Canada or Sweden. ;>{chuckles} 19 is a very good age. Personally I haven't aged since about 18-20 myself I don't think, I'm going to be one of those perpetually young people, I'll be 50 odd and still acting silly and throwing marshmallows at people ... and stuff. ;>Nice to be aged enough to be classed as really intelligent (which you are) but one doesn't want to be too old either, so I know why you don't like the idea of being 19 mentally. Don't worry though, you won't really age mentally if you don't want to, the only reason other people do is because they spend so much time thinking about it and worrying about it that they just age insanely. Instead of just realizing they are young.For me, there is a perfect balance and that age is it. ;>

I always thought you were 19 or thereabouts Dub. Blimey, was I ever surprised. You seem a bit -- well, how can I put it? -- cognative for a 15 year old. Though I've learned that that's often true and it's just that British kids are often complete retards (has school flashbacks), gads.
