Why did my website break? [Solved]

Post by Jin-roh »

Hello!

I made a full update about twenty minutes ago. Now, all my comics seem to be missing. I've checked the code several times; the relevant ***todays_comic*** tag seems to be in the right place.

when I do a full update, do I need to upload every last comic too?

Your pages appear fine to me (provided you're referring to your theuberbean.comicgenesis account). The thing to remember about a full update is that it deletes all the html files in the /d/ folder and rebuilds them from scratch; you probably just visited your site before all the pages could be rebuilt. Try a hard refresh (ctrl+F5).

Nope.

When i do the hard refresh, I sometimes get pages without comics again. Sometimes it will open and show the comic, othertimes no. Another thing is that the links to "characters" and "support" don't show up in the daily archives.

But everything looks fine to others?

Maybe I've been stressing so long I'm actually losing it.

I did a cursory clickthrough of your archives and everything seemed to be in working order. Which pages, specifically, aren't showing up for you?

They weren't appearing as I was typing this, but now they seem to be fine as well. I guess you must've fixed it.

yeah, every once in awhile a comic seems to disappear on either the index or the archives. But if others aren't having a problem, than I get it must be me.

Thanks a bunch for the help.
