CG revenue sharing, ads, stores, and whatnot.

Post by Demurrersurprise »

I have been searching the forums for the rules/procedures for revenue sharing, placing ads like Google and Project Wonderful on your site, creating stores, paypal and other comic funding options. I get bits and pieces here and there, and some of it is contradictory. Has anyone thought about making one or more pages of info on this subject on the Spacer's Gear? It would surely help a lot of us out by having one source to go to.

If someone creates this, please list the following:
  • List the rules for revenue options on ComicGenesis
  • List the most common revenue options that comics on CG use (and their effectiveness)
  • Describe the procedures to follow to do stuff like revenue sharing
  • Post any warnings and cautions CG is aware of.
  • Post tips and recommendations.
Since I joined the site, I have found the Spacer's Gear really helpful. I really appreciate all the work people have put into that.

Have you looked here yet?

EDIT: By the way, the Spacer's Gear has been outdated for a while now. The new tutorials are on the wiki.

If you go to Comicgenesis.com and then click help, it says the first thing to do is the spacers gear, then the wiki. Someone might want to update that with your comment. I think I went to number one and stopped there. I was just naturally drawn to the forum, despite it being number three. :D
