Being a confirmed geek, I collect things. My greatest collection is that of my toys. When I was a younger man, I would pick up any ol' toy that struck my fancy, which has led to some fun things in my possession. To a lesser extent, I still do, but my focus has mostly landed on 3.75" G.I. Joe, with some other action figures and other toys of 1:18 scale peppered in, to keep things interesting. I like to play with my toys, and not much original packaging has survived my years of collecting. My favorite way to play with my toys is to set up scenes and dioramas. I just got a new camera, so now I'll be taking pictures of these scenes and dioramas.
Please, feel free to share pictures of toys, and other things that make you long for your lost childhood. Here are a few pics I've snapped over the last few days, while figuring out my new camera. This weekend, I'm going to spend an afternoon outside, really getting down and dirty. I can't wait!

I used to be huge into collecting the Marvel Legends line in the ToyBiz days. Alas, Hasbro got a hold of the license and has been producing absolute crap ever since.

I used to COLLECT these little soldier things (Not a bucket of Army Men, no). I didnt *really* collect, but it kinda happened, each one was like half an inch high, and my favorite was the SEAL with the silenced M4 *siiiiiiiiigh*. Awesome set, since it also came with buildings. So I'd SPRAAAAWL all my stuff around the TV room floor and have massive wars. I miss those things. Then, then pokemon happened, and suddenly I had no money
Fuck my childhood crazes!
Thing is, looking back, I realise the same company made 2 lines of products with the same mould - WWII, and modern warfare. So you'd have Nazis fighting this SF team.

Go Shadowrun troll, go!
I collect figs, too, though not religiously. I still have a bunch of them from when I was a kid. When I had a job I collected Final Fantasy figurines, too. They came out with some beautiful ones.

kinda reminds me of this set of toys I had where there were these army guys and they came with a building you could push in the windows and it'd look like they were shattered and parts of the walls came away exposing cracks. it was pretty cool.Killbert-Robby wrote:I used to COLLECT these little soldier things (Not a bucket of Army Men, no).
