I know what it is I want to accomplish, I just don't know how - and I know enough coding that I know it SHOULD be possible. Confused? Me too...
I want to retrieve the [Numcomics: ###] item from my strip's XML page for use on an external webpage - basically, I want to create a link to the current day's strip on my own webpage, but I want the text to read the number from [Numcomics: ###], so it will update with each strip. Does that make sense? My common sense is telling me this should be a simple operation, accomplished in a few lines of code, but for the life of me I just can't figure out how to do it.
