Troop 37 ( a community comic)

Post by Drowemos »

Ok I am not exactly pitching the comic here but the idea behind the comic. Troop 37 is a comic that is created by a general community instead of one artist. The idea is anyone can submit a page to the comic. That page is voted on. If it passes it is posted on the website and that page becomes cannon. There are no scripts simply a set of guild lines for what works and what doesn’t.

The comic was born out of The Wotch forum so not surprising it’s main character is a boy who was transformed into a girl. Is sort of a lighthearted romp set in a 50s TV sitcom world.

You can read the comic here:

Look at the rules and guidelines here:

And see the associated forum space here:

The comic has been the most enjoyable project I have been a part of.

So here is the pitch. Pick the option you like best:

A) You should stop by Troop 37 and add a page.

B) You should start a community created comic like Troop 37 here in the comic genesis forums. You have all the raw requirements.

I take C)
(Engaged with other stuff, but very pleased with the general result. From just taking part in themed 'stuff' I know that organisation can be hell, so the work that's taken place is definately most impressive!)
Sometimes the failed experiments are the ones that don't try to kill you
