My points were already made, so I'll just mention this fun tidbit. I remember when Virginia Tech happened, this guy on the news kept asking the shooter's roommates leading questions, like if he every played violent video games. Turns out he didn't play games; however, he watched a lot of gameshows and wrestling on tv.

One time, I destroyed a man by stacking a series of blocks around him. When I finally got the long straight one, I insterted it into an empty space and both he and the blocks disappeared. I advanced to the next level and got an assload of points. I celebtrated by doing that Russian dance.

There was a study just the other day* which came back wth a resounding "no". The logic boiled down to: nearly everyone of the problem age group plays computer games so trying to find a link is like trying to find a link between people who drink wine and people who eat rhubarb tarts. The first is so many that overlap is inevitable with the second, no matter how small the second is.

The only heavily violent videogames I play are the Resident Evil games...I consider them essential training for the coming zombie apocalypse.

Aye, I do, since I spend a good amount of time in transit, but Nemi is actually a Norwegian comic unless I'm mistaken, I read it long before Metro, with the help of a Swedish friend XD

I spend about an hour each day on the buses, if I don't go anywhere else other than to college and back; the Metro is a good way to pass the time if I can get my hands on a copy.

Did you see the interview with the creator that was in the Metro the other week? A lot of jokes are lost in translation, and it's definitely Norwegian.

Locked
