Since when have those laws stopped any robots before?
Andrew was a very nice robot, thank you very much!
Existence is a series of catastrophes through which everything barely but continually survives.

That's freaking brilliant. Why didn't I think of that?
Cause I'm awesome.

Yeah, Nintendo has been delaying their major releases for a LONG time. Notice the copyright date on Super Mario 3?

What's that? 1988?

But Super Mario 3 didn't release until 1990. And Ocarina of Time was originally going to be a 1996 release, alongside the N64, in April that year. Ocarina of Time was delayed until November 1998. And Twilight Princess was due in 2004, yet it didn't release until last year.

Even their consoles are delayed, sometimes!
NES- Was shown in January 1984. Actual release: October 1985 (test market)/February 1986 in North America, 1990 in Europe. Not sure when it came to Australia, do you know, Joel?
SNES- Was released in late 1990 in Japan. Released in August 1991 in North America, April 1992 in Europe, July 1992 in Australia.
N64- Originally planned to be released in April 1996. Released in September 1996 in North America, early 1997 in Europe and Australia.

I don't think the GameCube was delayed at all, strangely enough. I could be wrong, though.

All that's happening here is the Nintendo Shuffle. SSBB is moving to Feb., which means that Mario Kart Wii will move down the line to April, something else will be bumped into summer, etc. etc...

They usually do this in two-month increments per system, skipping January (play SSBM and look at the trophies. NO game has a 1/XXXX {or XXXX/01} release) and July (the reason that Tales of Symphonia was such a big deal on the GC at the time of release).

So, we get something like this:
Wii: Feb, Apr, June, Sept, Nov
DS: Mar, May, Aug, Oct, Dec

Because we know nothing sells in January. Ignore the fact that WoW:BC was released 1/16 (or 16/1, if you prefer) of this year.

That said, I hear Super Mario Galaxy is going to be a great game.

Looks like their best game since the early N64 heyday when they were making stuff like Mario 64 and Ocarina of Time.

Oh, and I wouldn't be surprised to see Smash Bros. slip again. If you've already missed Christmas no particular reason to rush it out for February.
