Creating a new comic

Post by Moder »

Hello!

I have a comic In CG for awhile now.

Now I want to have another comic that would be a kind of a mirror of my original comic, but in portuguese (Im Brazilian) and instead of daily it would be weekly.

Do I apply for a new comic (like I did the first time) or is there a separate process for people already in CG?

Thanks!

You have to reapply... unless you want to host it on the same account you're using now. Then, you would have to update the Portuguese one yourself. Otherwise, yes, you have to sign up for the new account.
This is going in my notebook titled "Things I Didn't Know about Surface Dwellers."

Hey, thanks!
That´s what I did.

But then I remembered that the SiteAdmin looks (to me) like It supports multiple comics for the same user (the layout looks like a 'Table' that would admit more than one comic per user)... Makes sense?

Just a thought. I have no idea...

It does support multiple comics... as in, multiple comic ACCOUNTS. You can "add a comic" by selecting a comic account you've already signed up for. So, you have to apply for that second account first.

It's a little confusing, I know.

Just wondering, so the new comic we create will have a seperate link, and will, essentially, be completely disconnected from your original site, correct?

Yes.

You can have X number of comics and either run them all at the same time or work on one, then start another (whilst leaving the old one available).

Think of it like this: each comic is it's own creature. It stands alone and you use ftp to add / remove stuff. It does not 'talk' to other comics.

The siteadmin is your way of managing your comic(s). You can change and update your comic(s) all from one convenient place.
