Jacks Reviews changing its name!!!!!!

Just letting everyone and anyone who didn't know that starting Monday, Sept. 24th, Jacks Reviews will officially become Webcomic Asylum. So, from then on the url will be webcomicasylum.blogspot.com. Please note this. It will also be on the site in case you forget. THanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks on the new name. I wanted something more professional, and also wanted to leave my name out of the sitename. And concerning most created threads, yeah, sorry bout that. I just don't know how else to catch peoples attention than to put "JACKS REVIEWS NEEDS BLAH BLAH!!" Heh.

But... Webcomics Asylum... what do I expect when I go there? If I go to Jack's Webcomic Reviews I know what I'm going to find. Webcomics Asylum puts me in mind of a collective of people who think they're mad and cool because they're mad and probably haven't really got a decent webcomic amongst them.

Enjoy the site and the content... just not sure the name is suitable.

I don't like "Webcomics Asylum" either.

So here's a better suggestion:

Call it "Fair and Balanced" and post a picture of a FOX News anchor on your site.

Huh. I thought about not having "webcomic reviews" in the name, but there are plenty of sites that are about a subject but don't have it in the name. TheSuperficial.com for example. While it deals with making fun of celebrities, the name of the site isn't "CelebrityHijinks.com" or something like that. Besides, I'm going to have a new banner and under it, and on the site, it will say something like "Reviews, contests, interviews, and more!" But thanks for the input, and even if you don't like the name, I hope you keep visiting.

People offer advice here, but like advice everywhere, there's bits and pieces to take from it, learn from, and what have you. A lot of big review sites don't have "review" in the name, but I think most of those were made big back in the hayday of webcomics, where people would link things, and people would click to links and go read.

People are starting to get back to that, to some degree, but there was quite a gap there for a few years, where only the bignames kept getting links on peoples linkpages. I can recall a few webcomics I used to read where the linkpage would have PA, CtrlAltDel, VG cats, etc...you know, people who don't actually need your help.

The reason I bring this up, is that if you're a webcomic review site, and you don't have webcomic review somewhere in your title, unless people point you to it, you're not likely to find it and go there, and if people don't go there, google isn't much help to you even.

But, I read duffies post and see you're apparently not reviewing webcomics anymore, so thats a moot point.

Why Mcduffies is saying things that aren't true I have no idea. I AM still reviewing webcomics, two to three a week, just like I have been doing for a while now. I just have EXTRA content, something that gives the website more value, in my opinion. I'm going to advertise a lot more and get the name out there and what it's about, so as not to confuse people or have them thinking it's just a silly newsy site.

It's not sarcasm, since I'm not trying to make a point or something, only to make a joke. I allow that my sometimes people can find my sence of humor strange.
