Gateway/Redirect Tag?

Post by Scyze »

So, I've got this cool gateway page set up for my comic, which links into /mainpage.html. This works fine and dandy, except going to the Latest and the Next buttons from the last page sends me back to my gateway page (which I have set as my index.html). Is there a way I could redirect the tag so it points to /mainpage.html whenever it wants to go to the latest comic (applying to both ***next_day*** and ***last_day***)? If not, is it possible to make it so that when someone accesses my site, it sends them to the gateway page (possibly at /gateway.html or something)? I know that advanced option in siteadmin doesn't work, so... Does anyone have advice?

For the last day button, you could just put an image linking to mainpage.html instead of ***last_day*** on your indextemplate and dailytemplate. Not sure how you would do the next day button on the previous comic though.

The only way to do it is to turn off automatic updates and hand-code each update.

In theory, the siteadmin option would make it really easy to do - if it was enabled.

If you want to discuss this, I've started a thread about it in the General Discussion forum. I'm interested in seeing how many people want this...
