New Fan Stuff
Rather than work on MY comic, I do these sorts of things. Is it a fan pic? A crossover? Both?
<IMG SRC="http://farawaystars.keenspace.com/image ... >
BoxJam never posts this stuff to HIS page, 'cuz he's a jerk. Now Lee, he remembers his fans.
------------------

Yeah, he even included Hick, who (given that he's only appeared twice and never with a speaking role) is an odd choice, but maybe more recognizable than, say, the Dot. Or Mao or the other Reds (and they're already dead anyway.)
------------------

That's gotta be Illustrator (or something similar) because the candles have gradients.
It's still very impressive.
------------------

Glad you like it.
I use Paint Shop Pro, but the whole thing was done by hand. I even drew each of the characters in the pics, really, by hand, no cutting and pasting here. The background shading is a secret.
Ok, so I swiped most of the photos, but it was still a pain. It'd been easier if any of the artists drew ANY pictures of their characters at that scale...
Also, if I forgot to kill a character in your comic, sorry. There is, however, room for one more row of photos at the bottom of the wall, so you can still aspire to greatness.
[This message has been edited by Tirdun (edited 01-18-2001).]

I just noticed there are THREE pieces featuring BoxJam on MY fanart page. What's with all the BoxJam shit on MY fanart page? I don't see Butch on BoxJam's friggin' fanart page.
Even when he's not responsible, that guy's a jerk.

I included hick because he was a) recognizable and b) easy to draw.
My only other requirement was that I had to read the strip, and you have the 3 factors for all of the pics.
And yes, dot would be just a bit too simplistic, bot would have been less so, but possibly confused with robert from "Triangle and Robert".

BoxJam has gotten too big to remember the little people. I know I've done like 2 other Chopping Block fanart pics, both of which have homes on your page. None of my BoxJam stuff, even the uber-cool animated one ever made it onto BoxJam's page. Humph.

I'm embarrassed to say I have quite a number
of pictures I need to get on my 'art-by-others'
page that I haven't yet.
And Butch is, uh, he's...well, he's not in
those either.
I'd also like to point out that I've killed
Tom Banner from Burnt Dog Radio, but I haven't
had the film developed yet (after all, he
just showed up this month).
------------------

I can do it. I have the technology. If Lee can do kickass comics with a freakin' sponge and razor, then I can add Herr Grossman to my fanpic. You betcha.
------------------
