Hey, you - DRAW the DARK KNIGHT!

DRAW BATMAN
The official contest:

WHAT? A friendly competition open to any CG forum member.

WHY? This began as a silly argument, but instead of just quibbling and insulting, why not take the opportunity to show off our varied art styles, share and compare our work, and push ourselves to be even better. Everyone drawing one specific character gives it a common variable, making it more interesting to see how each person interprets the same idea.

HOW? Submit artwork here according to the guidelines. When we have a large enough group (15 submissions) we will start a vote-thread and pick our favorites. There are no prizes, (unless the admins feel like offering a title to the winner, like "Caped Crusader" instead of "Cartoon Hero"? ). Offer constructive criticism and praise and learn from other people's choices and suggestions how you might improve your own work. Do NOT be negative or insulting.

GUIDELINES:

I- Draw Batman. Include other characters if you like (DC villains, your own comics, etc), but it MUST be a version of Batman, himself, not just someone else in the costume.
II- Images may be in any style of your choice.
III- Images may be sketched/inked/colored, just try to put your very best foot forward.
IV- Submit only your single best batman pic. If you feel you MUST show off more, just link to them.
V- Have fun with it.
VI- Be supportive.

aaaand, GO!

Smashing, Killbert! I think the cell-shading really lends itself well to your line art.
Just the attitude to take, too ;) And whoever wins, you're still entry #1! :D

Man, when I saw the other thread locked, I was slightly pissed. I've got a three-day weekend, and you can bet I'll be putting up some Bat action forthwith.

I might try animating it later on once I get my own computer working again. :P

edit: Wow, the light blue I used fades pretty much perfectly into the board's background. Oops. Gonna stick it in quote tags.

I gotta go to town soon, so I rushed the coloring like no other. Hopefully, I'll replace this with something with more detailed colors and some shading in a few hours, but whatev:

I'm totally joining this. I have a feeling Rickford will win though... I really like his interpretations of super heroes.
I'm glad 90's style forum signatures don't exist anymore.

Ooh, nice stuff. I haven't been about much lately, but this seems as good a way as any to re-enter the fold :)

Now to decide in which style to draw it :p

Also, Lego, you crack me up. XD
