My site has disappeared

Post by Jkandra »

I sent a message to both Kisai and STrRedWolf, but I thought I'd post it here as well in case anyone has ideas

My site seems to have disappeared. I get the messages below when I try my domain, http://www.osscomic.com, or my CG address, onesmallstep.comicgensis.com.

Firefox gives me:
"The page isn't redirecting properly
Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete."

Safari gives me:
"Safari can’t open the page.
Too many redirects occurred trying to open “http://onesmallstep.comicgen.com/”. This might occur if you open a page that is redirected to open another page which then is redirected to open the orignal page."

(Safari seems to be flipping between http://onesmallstep.comicgen.com/ and http://onesmallstep.comicgensis.com/)

IE gives me:
Nothing

(It's possible I screwed this up myself messing in the old site admin when I was trying to do an update.)

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Joe

Denial is not falsification. You can't avoid a fact just because you don't like it.
"Data" is not the plural of "anecdote"

WTF??

Thanks rkolter.

I got a message from STrRedWolf saying that this problem was related to the bigger DNS issues and to hang on.

(I'm glad I didn't get rid of my bare-bones back-up at http://osscomic.blogspot.com/)

.......And......now it's back.

Thanks to the wonderful work of Kisai, STrRedWolf and me just shutting my mouth and waiting for the DNS to get up to speed.

Thanks

Well, at the moment, all CG sites seem to be down, so I reckon it isn't just you.

Sigh. I hate having to rely on my Drunk Duck mirror. It's kludgy and slow. Blargh.

Hurr.. my webcomic is not up either.
http://www.skimlines.com ( http://looks.comicgenesis.com )
I also tried logging into the admin console using my forum username and then my account name, but it kept saying: Username not valid!

---- Nevermind -- my site is back up now.

Most sites seem to be back, but my comic (http://dungeoncrawlersdream.comicgenesis.com) still isn't. For I am not able to connect to it anyway, I'm still waiting for it to come back.

My site says "forbidden"
I can still access it from my ftp.
Does this have anything to do with my not being able to log into Comicgen (which I have written about in the "can't log in" thread)
